The vast majority of those performances were for Clough...I find the bollocks he spouted about his love for Sheffield United a little crass tbh, when quite clearly, he was/is following Clough about like a lost puppy and performing to those levels, purely for him...
That post does you no favours whatsoever ,unless you are a juvenile.

Brayford is playing against the likes of Newcastle ,Kellys playing against the likes of the Slug and Lettuce ,and we listen to some nerds who go on football forums to decide Brayfords had it and should stay with daddy and Kelly is going to be the new Roberto Carlos. McNulty entourage must get pissed off with him not getting a game.
Good points. However, injured is injured, and really expensive is really expensive. They're the pertinent points.

I don't want John to go because Freeman is not a long term solution at right back and once Freeman gets his new contract he could turn to shite again.
You might if you saw his wages, and considered what we can't pay to others because we're paying it to him.

Id have a committed/fully fit Brayford back in a heartbeat good footballer

Making a vacuous statement without giving any explanation whatsoever to back it up does you no favours, and I know you're not a juvenile...if you disagree, state where you think I got it wrong?

P.S- he hadn't been 'a quality footballer' for SUFC for some time...

Done it before but ,a professional footballer on half a million pounds a year does not ,only perform for one manager 'like a lost puppy' at the risk to his career and income. Someone has already posted on here that it wasn't Brayfords choice to leave but Wilders to free money up.

No but only because of the finances , Brayford is a quality footballer and would do great for us again given the chance ,but he has like Coutts suffered a bad injury and the recovery is long term mentally as well as physically ,and we cant afford to see him through the recuperation.

And that ultimately to me is the crux of the point. Brayford nice lad that he is and potentially a really good player again when fully fit, has been way short of his original standards and was costing a fortune in wages for a club with a league 1 budget. The 'want it now brigade' as you put it are quite rightly after promotion for Utd now after 6 years in this shithole and the bigger picture is United going up, not whether Brayford ever plays for Utd again. You yourself state that 'we cant afford to see him through to recuperation'. We could (bearing in mind the very fat contract he is on) if he was playing well and we were in the championship. To get to the latter he has had to be moved off the wage bill to allow CW sufficient wriggle room to try and get us up. Brayford is a viable option, but only if we go up. Until then, he isnt and he hasnt even put in the performances recently to warrant the budget we would spend on him this season. Id love to see him back next season...mainly because it would mean we had got promoted.

I'd say the bloke act's the like the least professional of footballers, that's what, in large part, endeared him to Blades fans, putting emotion over professionalism and taking a pay cut to follow his 'daddy' where "he felt loved"..rather than fulfil his potential and play at the highest level he could, clearly...

...so how would you asses the performances under Adkins and Wilder of this footballer on half a million pounds a year?
He appeared to be playing for a move...

Or he could be still injured ,as seems to be the problem at Burton too ,even with his 'Daddy' ?

If you saw his last 2games (Rochdale&Southend) Bradford played like a school boy he was pathetic and was playing to get away,Wilder could see this and got rid, I for one don't want to see him in a blades shirt again

He could be, some players are never the same after a series of injuries, in which case it's a good bit of business by Wilder... but what's that got to do with him following Clough around like a lost puppy and his 'professionalism'?

To me he came back and his form was erratic because he was coming back from a serious injury. Clough is partly to blame for the injury, as I personally don't think JB is a centre back.

Also if you are playing for a move you tend to play well not worse.

Fact is, he's gone from being dire for us to "outstanding" for Burton in a matter of days, despite being a level up. Forget outstanding, when was the last time anyone could credibly describe a performance of his for us as being simply "quite good"? There is more to it than simply a return to fitness – that's something that builds over time, not something that's switched on overnight. I remember saying last season that he was in bad need of a pre-season. He had that and was just as mediocre at the start of the season. There is something more to it than simply a return to fitness.

Wilder came in knowing SOME of our problems. Wilder then FOUND a few more of our problems. Wilder then dealt with these problems I.e. tossing off a whole pile of shite, then McNulty, then Brayford, then starting the process of resurrecting Coutts and Freeman.

Brayford was spending just as much time on the piss as McNulty and some of the other cronies, this never gets mentioned just because it's Brayford.

He had performed poorly for us for a long time and for people to not see that, they are just sticking to an opinion formed almost two years ago. Whether this has anything to do with his performances is down to opinion but I know where my money is now. It's time for him to move on whether we get promoted or not, he doesn't want to be here.

You're an idiot

Thanks for your productive contribution...if you see things differently please Try and explain, if possible...others have tried...

Infantile comments like this deserve a short succinct reply.

Can't understand why anyone would have a go at Brayford he agreed to go out on loan to help us out when he could have been an arse about it, not to mention the many great performances he gave us. I hope he does come back and I am sure 99% of our fans would welcome him back. As for the daddy comments I can only re-affirm what's already been said , you're an idiot.

So actually, you've nothing to say to dispute this or the fact that the bloke looked a shadow of the loan spell Brayford.

Speaks volumes.

“McNulty in summary: a poor performance but some promise.”

Summary of all his time here too.
I'd be interested to know what people's thoughts would be on Billy, were he not club captain and a Blade.

If he was a new signing the jury would surely be out. A few important spot kicks shouldn't mask the poor season he's having.

I think most accept Billy's not having the best of it at the moment. Things are not quite happening for him...

If he were a new signing, let's say who'd played for t'pigs once upon a time, there'd be trouble at t'mill...if he doesn't pick his game, and when Lavery/Clarke are back and fit, I expect to see him get a start on the bench.

As it is, we're struggling for numbers a bit up top and have little choice at the moment.

Any plans to report on those that departed earlier in the year, Roygbiv?

Has Collins started to blame his fellow Rowdies?

Has McEveley managed to go two months without attempting a slam-dunk in the penalty area?

Have any of the locals in Bristol taken exception to De Girolamo's cap-wearing?

Has the unseen Dean Hammond been seen yet?

We must know.

Can I quote you on this the next time we sell a good player and everyone tells me that we have to sell because otherwise the player will sulk and play badly?

Probably get this done this weekend seeing as we don't have a game
