Clough will argue that by him playing for them he is playing against our promotion rivals, to help us...

Somebody needs to tell him that's irrelevant if we can't win!!!

I got slated for saying mcGahey was garbage and would not even stand out in lg2.

He will end up a non league player in my opinion. Only young but once his age catches up they'll be nothing positive to say about him.

And he let JCR go FFS.

He's dropped some right bollocks but loaning JCR out is near the top of the tree for me
and here's me thinking JCR play well one game in ten and was, rightly, rarely given a first team start during 2015 as he kept giving the ball away and kept crossing into the stands

I think some on here have got very short memories.

A 28 day loan to get him back into form was surely the most sensible thing to do

Taking personal opinion out of it, our record since Campbell-Ryce's departure is 3 points from a possible 12.

Edit: 4 points, sorry

Things did look a bit disjointed with him and Brayford down the right but its nothing that couldnt be sorted on the training groond.

Having said that we did have a threat down the right we aint now.

I suspect their memories are just long enough to recall Paul Coutts storming down the right flank for the last two games.

PS: Anyone got an improvement on "storming"?
JCR isn't exactly this world beater thou is he and I would suggest he was worse than Coutts in that position (although Coutts should play centrally.in my opinion.

I'm more bemused about why Ben Davies hasn't played wide right. Better than both of them

That's the Jam I saw playing for us. I thought he was a good, dangerous player.

McGahey. Astronaut.

Long *also* gets beaten at his near post. Does the goalkeeping coach some one-eyed former pirate

How many of those games would he have started. ?

In the games where we lost points, how many games did Kennedy miss ?
Impossible to tell, I'm just stating a fact.

My opinion is that we've lost an option - one which I think would've been handy to have, and in all probability would've been used, in both our recent defeats.

If I break that sentence in two, I'll answer:

1. No he isn't and I don't think anyone is saying he is. Hence he's a L1 journeyman at best.
2. Never seen him play worse than Coutts has the last two games. Waste of a shirt both times (like a wide Brian Howard).

So, long is improving and HM2 Is getting (even)worse!?
We always knew how JCR would do.

You think Coutts has been better than JCR on the righto_O I agree Coutts is a central player and should play there when FULLY FIT, which he quite clearly isn't at present. JCR will always be a bigger goal threat and assist more goals than Coutts ever will on the right hand side. He only has 3 less goals than Murphy this season and Murphy has played 11 more games and also started more matches, how anybody can even think we don't need someone like JCR is mind boggling.

For me a winger should be losing the ball every now and again, that's pretty much part of the role - do something creative that might not come off everytime but those others will create you opportunities. Paul Coutts will never be that man. I don't think United fans have ever really 'got' the role of the wide man per se - much like when Paul Ifill was hounded out despite 15 or so assists in our promotion season...

I don't know how old you are but I don't agree with your statement about us not getting the wide man role. We have had some great wingers down the years ,some dribblers , some direct ,some crossers who dint need to. Woodward ,Morris ,Beagrie ,Wigley ,Carr ,Devlin ,Gillespie ,Smith all very different and now I think with Murphy we have a player to included in that bunch.
I do like JCR ,he is an exciting player to watch even if the end product lacks at times ,looking forward to him coming back I hope.

The wide man role is totally different if playing 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. Some hug the touch line and head for the byline which is not always best if only one up top. The 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 wide man is much more demanding than the traditional 4-4-2 wide men we all grew to know and love like the names listed above.

What JCR gives us is the ability to change a game in a positive fashion, or setup differently from the off dependant on the opposition, which we could of done with in the past couple of weeks.

Not sure Ifill was hounded out of the club some liked him some didn't, myself I thought Kazim Richards was a better player when he came to us. Always remember Ifill's first game in pre season at Sandy Lane LOL he never got a kick against Worksop's left back who I know quite well. btw I do agree Ifill got some dogs abuse from some sections which wasn't called for.

. . . and 9 or 10 goals

Although he really was an enigma, I remember a game where he looked like I would trying to play football (awful) and then from nowhere he trapped a loose ball on his thigh and teed himself up, smashing a volley from 25 yards that crashed against the bar. Then carried on being a bit shit.
