I know these are lower league clubs except Norwich but did they think these youngsters were going to be finished products they have been loaned out to continue their development. Look how we are managing Gilchrist that is what I want when we loan players out.

Thanks for the effort, Roygbiv , that's really insightful. The real shame is Curtis. I was really excited when we signed him. It seemed we had found an absolute gem. The laziness accusations are a huge concern if he wants to play at our club.

Re Slimane, I'm just glad the transfer fee from Bronby was low, as this may turn out to be someone we just shift off the books at a loss. Anyone know how long his contract is? I had a quick look in his 'confirmed' thread but couldn't see anything

looking back on all the loans we’ve sent out over the years the only good view i can remember was Blaster, that said i think we should wait and see what utd think when we get them back ala Seriki and Marsh

They're both just young. Could go either way. I personally always thought Traore had something - just not enough for us last year

Cheers Roygbiv. Could I make a cheeky suggestion for your loan updates please? It might be helpful to include a date or the match the quote relates to. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if fans have wildly differing views on how a player performed in one match, or whether the views are evolving over the course of the season.

(Admittedly less of an issue in this update where the views are almost entirely terrible )
