More plaudits, and thoroughly deserved. I dread to think where we'd be as a club now without HRH The Lord Sir Christopher Wilder.

Is there an overall "manager of the season" award across all 4 divisions? Surely, given Liverpool's failure to win the league (hahahahahahahahahahahaha, you scouse twats) if there is, then CW is a shoe-in for it?
Yeah he’s won that as well

Chris Wilder, Sheffield United manager, is presented with an award by Sir Alex Ferguson, naming him as the manager of the year across all the leagues, beating out the likes of Klopp, Guardiola, Poch, etc, while being applauded by the most successful national team manager since Bobby Robson.

Wendy fans still won't rate him.

Liked because you laughed at Liverpool.

Just spent the last 30 minutes arguing with two Norwich fans. One who thinks there is a xenophobic conspiracy to why Farke didn't win (and bizarrely blames Big Sam for Wilder winning) and one who says Wilder has failed whether he's gone other than us. He also added that Farke had a harder job when he took over at Norwich than Wilder did taking over at United.

I used to be cool me.

The overall award is just superb.

Two loans from prem teams will be easier to close on the back of this.

Attracting quality players will also certainly be aided too. Any clubs/players not fully aware of CW and his success will be now surely .

a harder job. that a norwich fan that too self absorbed. the sheff utd job was a poisoned chalice when he took over in a growing toxic atmosphere. with budget slashed by a 1/3rd

this fully deserved because what he has done in 4 years is staggering. revolutionary tactics, great man management & recuitment. wins L2 with team on brink of liquidation, takes on poisoned chalice wins the title, comes wins local derby & challenges for play offs with 1 of lowest budgets & then automatic with bottom half budget. he is a miracle worker

but its still bonkers to think he won it
Guardiola - potentially the best manager in the world right now. great football man city squad back to back titles (1st time anyone done it in a decade) 198pts braking the pts record 2 years in a row.

Klopp - play great football, back to back champions league final (3 european finals in 4 years), a total that wouldve won top flight title 128 times out of 130

pochettino - another miracle worker, no home (for majority), no money, no signings & no star player. 3rd in the league, league cup semi & champions league final

Yes, yes, yes....theyve all done well and are top drawer... but Wilder is better :)

Im sure we can all show our appreciation for Chris by having a whip round and buying him a taxi fare to Ingoldmells and pay for him to have a session on the ale there with his lass, and then we can buy him a chippy tea afterwards.

Dont think we should be mean here. If his lass wants a large Fish as well and Curry sauce, then we fans should make sure Mrs Wilder gets the tea she wants.

This is the sort of stuff I've managed to get involved with

Even if Allardyce is a xenophobe, they're assuming it was a one vote decider between Wilder and Farke. Which is quite the assumption when considering the other managers in the running.

Norwich fans seem to only look at fees, not where their players have come from. Someone might cost £1.8m Vs £3.5m for Egan but I bet players are on more at Getafi than they are at Brentford. And I bet "released by Ipswich" players command less than out of contract Premier League players.

They're also refusing to look at the overall projects. Farke spent loads last season and finished 12th, those players carried over and he spent £4m this season.

Wilder spent what, £4m last season, no player more than £1m I don't think, and finished higher than Norwich, and then spent not much again and got us automatically promoted to the Premier League with the core from League One.

Anyway, fuck em.

Wilder > everyone else.

From the LMA site.

The award, voted for by the full LMA membership, was presented to the Sheffield United Manager at the 27th LMA Annual Awards Dinner by LMA President Gareth Southgate OBE and LMA Board member Sir Alex Ferguson CBE.

On collecting his award, Chris said: "To be voted for by your peers, to get this award is unbelievable and it tops off an incredible season for me and everybody involved at Sheffield United.

"There are some inspirational people in front of me; Sir Alex Ferguson, Gareth Southgate, Sam Allardyce, Walter Smith and Dave Bassett, who is a fantastic mentor to me. My pathway has been a different one, and hopefully can be an inspiration, to everybody else."

LMA Chairman, Howard Wilkinson, said: “Chris Wilder has been patiently developing his management skills for the past 20 years and, as a result, he has successfully climbed the football pyramid.

"His reward is to have earned the respect and admiration of his peers to win the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy for the LMA Manager of the Year award, and his dream opportunity to lead the club he supported as a boy, in the Premier League.

"Chris is a great example of what can be achieved by managers in the lower levels of football, who dream of managing at the very top. His tenacity, thirst for learning and grounded approach has ultimately paid off handsomely. I am sure many others who aspire to greater things are looking forward to seeing him compete with some of the very best in the world of football management next season."

LMA Chief Executive Richard Bevan added: “Chris’ success with Sheffield United is a remarkable story of a home-grown manager inspiring his club through two promotions and into the Premier League.

“His own personal journey through the EFL to the Premier League has been one of the quickest in the history of the game. Three promotions in four years with two different clubs has established Chris as one of the most talented English managers in the game.

“Tonight, we applaud his success and wish him the very best, as he prepares for his first season at the elite level of English football.”

So to sum up:

- Norwich fans think English managers should be excluded from winning the manager of the year award in the English league due to xenophobia. Xenophobia being a bias against people from a particular country o_O

- Norwich- IE; Norwich in NORFOLK, has apparently overnight become a metropolitan, multi-cultural hotbed of international integration.

- Even Howard Wilkinson AKA Old Grandpa Pig has fully endorsed Chris Wilder for his award. That will go down well in certain quarters, I’m sure.

Chris Wilder: Pissing off twats for fun since 2016
