Woodburn is hot property so it makes sense that the delay in the deal was agreeing the fines we pay Liverpool based on the number of appearances Wilder gives him. To be fair though I’ve no problem that we are now under financial pressures to play him.

Unlike the similarly-named Martyn 'You don't see the work he does' Woolford who mysteriously played exactly 30 times for United. No fines, just brown paper envelopes in Adkins' pocket.

The best thing about a widely lauded signing is probably seeing those certain childish Wednesday fans having a cry about it and failing miserably to try and pretend it's a bad signing.

As CEO Crab Industries Inc, you don't have enough time to waste on minnions like Roygbiv. I mean, just look at that Elon Musk bloke. When those Thai lads were stuck in the cave he got his geeks to design a useless minisub to get Cheesy Wotsits and alcopops to them. You should be more like him, thinking out of the the box, taking the helicopter view, having a thought shower or doing some blue sky thinking. You know it makes sense.

Big Vern should be round at Roygbiv's house giving him a slap to keep him on his toes. Several times his 'view froms' have taken hours to appear and occassionally when we play a smaller team, it can even be the following day.

Couldn't be more wrong.

A guaranteed £12m in the bank over a period of time for a player that was only ever likely to stay one more season, and who's value could just as easily have gone down as it could up, in exchange for a more or less like for like player for the same period at a fraction of the cost.

What's not to like?

Jealousy can do terrible things.

Agree, I’ve checked some Liverpool forums and the comments are generally really positive about SU, comments like
‘Sheff United, big crowds, play good attacking football, less pressure than Villa...good move for Ben”

Even on the Villa forums theirs fans are making comments like
‘The choice was playing for Wilders SU who play positive attacking football
Or play for Bruce and have all the positivity and talent coached out of him. Easy decision really”

Although some Villa fans put the theory forward that Klopp needs Woodburn to play regularly
So he will have put in massive fines in the loan if the player fails to make a certain number of appearances.
They say he’ll find it easier to start games at SU compared to Villa.
