In light of people having a meltdown at today’s kit announcement, it seems like a good time to plug this from a few weeks ago. Towards the end of part three we discuss what makes a Sheffield United shirt.

As a kit expert and a neutral, it’s interesting to hear what John says on this (spoiler - he reckons some black in the shirt makes it a proper Blades kit, and we all agree no to red socks)

I like red socks. They're roughly as common through our history as white socks I believe, couple of years in it in favour of white, but I just think they looked great last season. Maybe it was because it's been a while since we had them with a normal (not anniversary) kit since, 2005ish? That all red HFS loans jobbie.

Nice to have when the shirt is about 70% white too.
