I reckon Forest will wait until after we've played them to sell unless we are willing to overpay. If we move on they can always find him a loan elsewhere.

they could still sell him to us but put it in the deal that he doesnt play at the city ground against us but still think 7m with add ons is the most we should be offering em for him
 
The fees and wages that Forest have spent over the last 12 months or so must have them close to the FFP limits. They have a huge squad and will be looking to offload. I think this will be a end of window signing after we played forest and the 25 man squads have been announced

A few on here keep saying that it has and that they need to sell players to balance the finances.

Up to £105m losses in 3 years but does this cross leagues? I can't find a definitive statement on this so I suspect no. This means Forest have this season and the next to get/keep their overall spending below that figure. Last season they looked to have a transfer deficit in excess of £150m, add wages, take off income - it should all come out in the accounts.
 
I think if you don’t go for a naturally left sided player like obrien you need to go for hamer who is a baller type, you could probably stick anywhere across the midfield.

Another midfielder I would like to chuck in the mix for a loan is Oliver Skipp who they think will be made available for loan from spurs. Not sure he fits the left side in front of Souza but you could probably move slimane across.

I reckon we can play a little hard ball with these regarding the price. Clearly up the creek. You can imagine morale is pretty low or at least affecting the stakeholders surrounding the players and this may transfer on to the pitch. Fucked if they get relegated. Totally. Who else (realistically) would you try and take from forest?

skipp is a very good midfielder but think wages could be a stumbling block

Maybe so Pintor, but we aren’t in the envious position of signing whoever we want. It may well be that circumstances will dictate who we sign and whoever they are ain’t going to please everyone

I would rather go with Hamer but if we get O’Brien it won’t be the end of the World

I think it will be O’Brien but think Forest will only press the button after we’ve played them (18th Aug)

i agree yes weve signed souza but we definetly need a minimum of 2 more midfielders to come in before the end of the window obrien is obviously heckys choice for flecks position on the left and hamer to replace berge

Has a feel that If we get hamer that wouldn’t happen where as Smallwood and obrien feels more achievable

yeah i think we hold the cards with obrien forest are in financial trouble and once they realise theres no way their getting 10m for obrien i think they will weaken 7m would get him imo maybe with some add ons but that is definetly the maximum price we should be paying for him

I agree with this - indeed, if we move on to other targets, they may only get a Champ loan fee from him. Problem is, until Forest weaken, he remains their player and he doesn't help us for the next couple of weeks.

Yes we want 10 million, he is totally in our plans honest he is

No one buys so come Aug 31 off to US again on loan
 
If it's a straight up choice between him and Doyle then I'll take Doyle. Still be a good signing either way.

What has he said to make you think he doesn’t want to be here?

I personally think he would jump at the chance

I know it’s Forest, but we aren’t in the position to go being choosey with who we deal with. Get the fkin players in as quickly as possible to give ourselves the best possible chance of avoiding the drop
