We have issues all over the pitch, but I don't really see any of our forwards being suited to this formation.

Campbell is the best fit but he's not shown that he can play well over 90 minutes. He's also not got the fitness to press and is poor at finding space/holding up the ball. Things you need in this formation. He's also not good in the air.

Let's not even talk about Cannon, who isn't good at anything, and One, who needs to gain experience playing regularly.

So, add to the shopping list, a big strong striker with a boy of pace. We need to be able to hit a striker from the back and for it to stick/push us upfield.

If you want to talk about strikers, you also need to include that we are playing two of them as makeshift wingers, the two that you don't even want to talk about, Cannon and One are both being utilised as wingers instead of strikers...

One, young and inexperienced, being thrown in as a winger, should really be playing down the middle as a direct replacement for Campbell when he inevitably tires.

Cannon, not really a lone striker, has been used there and doesn't really suit that role, needs to play off a big striker, like Moore

Campbell, being utilised as a lone striker, again, not really his game without support, but with wingers expected to support him, it should work a little, but they're so unclear or their own roles, that includes Brooks and Barry.

We know that an offer for McBurnie went in, we sold Moore and what now? Did we stop looking at other big, yet mobile strikers?

It seems we had strikers on the list, but we took them off and went all in on defenders...

Kieffer Moore 3 league games 2 goals
Our strikers and the rest of the team
3 league games 1 goal

One major thing that contributed to our failure last season was being unable to put the round thing in the rectangular thing with a net on enough times, just to simplify things for our alleged "strikers".

Better strikers in a box of Swan Vestas

Oh of course Kieffer Moore f***** up at Wembley Mmmm was there 11 of him on the pitch?

I'm not sure our recruitment team are capable of multitasking!

I don't think One is ready to play upfront on his own at this level. I'd play him in a two though.

I was saying after last season's game against Millwall that Josh Coburn was what we needed. He is young and a real handful.
Moore wasn't as robust and set clear on the break he dallied and fluffed up chance after chance. Campbell is better in 2 up top or as the 1 with in a 4231. One may never make it, his touch and decision making is poor. But putting him on the wing is ludicrous and makes him less effective.

As for Cannon, he has had less of a contribution than Brewster. Cannon has only one attribute. He can finish if the ball is put on a plate for him. He doesn't compete for the ball, he doesn't hold it up. he doesn't work hard enough. For me its a bit like Hourihane. He is on the pitch but what the fuck is he actually doing.

They can't score goals if the ball doesn't arrive.
There was a few occasions yesterday in the second half to whip the ball in or just put a cross in but each time the ball was played short/ sideways and backwards. No attempt to take on the defender at all.

I'll criticise Wilder for this, last summer i think he was right to keep One in the squad as we were shorter on numbers, but in Jan he should've gone out on loan to get the experience he needed.

Now, i think One needs games, as you say, in a front two, perhaps in League one but he needs to get out on loan or to be playing regularly. He doesn't need to be out on the wing

Definitely needs a loan but if we're not bringing anyone else in then Cannon and Campbell would be disastrous if we ever wanted to play a front two.

I don't think you need to worry about that too much. As much as I like Campbell, I can't see him getting through all games when you look at his Anterior Pelvic Tilt. I just suspect that he's always going to have spells out

If we fail to strengthen up front it's difficult to see how we stay up.
Given his history every chance Campbell gets injured which leaves us desperately short.
One looked a useful squad player when he came on yesterday and a far better player than Cannon, Barry flutters about without much end product and that's about it.
How we have got into this position 3 games into the season, selling Moore weeks ago and only a week of the window left beggars belief.
