Fair point Mick. We aren't firing on all cylinders and look a couple of pieces short of the jigsaw. We have arguably been lucky (Portsmouth, Preston) and equally unlucky (Cardiff, Boro and Leeds), but there is a baisc and underlying change of mentality. It is not showing much on the pitch because I feel Speedo is taking a pragmatic line of trying to play to the strengths of the squad, not the principles. Its a sensible line, but wont win many favours. It is after all, what caused the disaffection with Blackwell.
As for the piggies, its been great fun watching them stumble from calamity to calamity, over the last few years, but its getting properly serious now. Its a bit like laughing at seeing an old dear slip, slide and fall comedically in the snow, but then realising she's broken her hip and is bleeding from a head wound. Whatever fun you got from the initial part is replaced by concern and a certain macabre fascination. There is one other important difference. Unlike the old dear, I wont be going over to help...
