whoever becomes our new manager has one hell of a job.
1) to start with he will not be liked by at least half of posters on here.
2) his signings will come under incredible scrutiny, with at least half the posters on here waiting for them to mess up.
3) he will have to run the gauntlet of Twitter........... And at least half the posters on here.

That's before he starts pre season......

So.......

Who's it going to be.....?

You're right, but i think half a million quid a year will make that quite easy to deal with! :)

I'm sure the new manager will be reading this forum and twitter frequently

And already it's started. It's all our fault! Listen. Was it us who signed a manager with no managerial experience? (Weir). Was it us who signed a guy who had achieved fuck all in 17 years of being a 'manager'? (Clough). Was it us who signed a serial failure? (Wilson). Of course it wasn't. Now go out and get either Warburton or Allardyce unless the board actually like a compliant muppet as manager who doesn't require significant funds to allow the club to progress. Next season is vital. We cannot stand still any longer. Getting rid of Clough is a good start - now finish it by appointing a decent manager who has got some success on his CV.

Allardyce being at Meadowhall today was interesting! However, I doubt he would drop to League One, so I think Adkins fits the bill better than just about anyone else out there.

Yea it's easy to appoint likes of big Sam when your a 3 rd division team.

I'd imagine 'selling' United to Allardyce (or Warburton) would be the easiest job in the world. Sell your gaff in That London, buy the biggest property in Sheffield, no more living in the London 'bubble'. Take him for a drive round Ladybower, Mayfield Valley etc. Job done. Unless, like McCabe, you have no ambition.

Like it good answer but seriously he's not going to even meet up in the 1st place .

The next appointment will say which direction we're going .ie budget for next season.

Don't think that's accurate mm. I loved NC first season. No arguement he put the brakes on and swiftly moved us up the table but that was his swan song. His failures in the transfer markets and apparent refusal to sign new players in January 2014 and through the summer started the alarm bells for me. Could be he was shackled to CE who knows. He lost me last season in a piss poor league losing to village teams.

BUT, whoever gets appointed will get the backing of most blades, it's their's to rise or fail. I remember Warnock coming in and I thought who? But he worked miracles and we never looked back. The Blades will back the new man

Doubt any of that would happen should Adkins be appointed.
Adkins is the one candidate who most would agree with and be delighted with.
Also i think anybody who is signed would look like ronaldo compared to who we have atm

Whoever takes over inherits a squad full of quality, all he has to do is drop a couple of decent centre halves in, get 'um motivated and he'll not go to far wrong.

Ancelottis booked on Ryanair from Madrid to East Midlands in the morning ,

Can't imagine that the new manager or anybody else connected with the club will give a flying one about what the "posters on here" think. This place is no more representative of the general fan base than callers to Football Heaven are. It's a great forum, but don't fool yourself that it has any relevance at all beyond being a debating space for a bunch of Blades anoraks.
