Masterclass from wilder and knill in my opinion.

When we came up from league 1, we played some of the best football I have seen united play.

We were dominating teams but susceptible on the break.

If I remember correctly, we changed a bit after losing to Leeds at home and surrended possession a bit more for the rest of the season.

The way we play now is build from the back and then quick high risk passes (mainly from Hamer).

If we lose possession, we are defensively set.

If the high risk ball works we score.

Not the best viewing but highly effective.

Top at Xmas, have a good one all

Yes but the 'Wilder out' thread starters need another outlet, they are feeling lonely and possibly foolish.

Though they'll be back.....
How many more times are you going to try and revive that thread ? It’s so boring,we are doing fantasticly well,I didn’t want him back but huge credit to Wilder etc to go well beyond expectations and breathe life back into the club and supporters. Give it a rest.

Which one ? there were dozens.

Drop points over yuletide and all the usual suspects will have their knives honed, ready for the we told you all along mantra to be trotted out again.

If you didn't want Wilder back, that implies you had no trust in PA either for bringing him back.

I thought we looked in complete control. It didn't click as much up front as we probably all wanted, but we never looked like conceding.

Peck, Davies and Hamer ran the show.

Also Souttar and JLT never looked in bother. Thought it was Souttar back to his pre-globetrotting form.

Basically a textbook away performance.

2nd half was admittedly better tempo but if looking at xG we were well below 1.0xG and only slightly above Cardiffs.

Moores goals had an xG of 0.02 and 0.21

On another day that easily finishes 0-0 imho

XG can show whatever it likes. It was a game of football that we managed well, scored 2 they got none. That, in my, old fashioned world, is a win and 3 points. To say, if he’d failed to score those goals, it would have been 0-0 could be applied to any number of games but remain irrelevant.

That’s a fantastic win in depth of winter going to a team that’s defending for a point we have to admit that we’re not Brazil but bye eck we can summons a win when needed! We are amassing a good points total but we’re not running away with it there’s 4 teams in for the automatic promotion places as I see and possibly an outsider in Middlesbrough and/or Blackburn let’s hope we can keep top we’ve got 3 very hard games coming up which could shape our season.

xG was 0.24 vs 0.78 on Fotmob, so that’s three times more than Cardiff and more than enough to win the game 1-0. Some excellent finishing meant it was 2-0.
