Indeed, he's been very active on twitter since the released list was announced, some examples below.

I think he's gone to France for rehabilitation and he certainly comes across as a very decent fella

"That's a lot messages to answer to lol. But, all I can say is a big thanks to the Blades fans for the support.
The messages will give me that bit of motivation that I need. It’s a hard time but not the end. Just sad how it has been finished #badInjury
Gonna miss #sufc fans"

That Oldham game, what a disaster - that certainly was a defining moment that could have been very different. And for all those who traveled to the debacle that was Walsall away immediately after .....................

Not even all in hindsight Wardonia, some of us knew how crucial the Oldham game could prove to be at the time!

I thought he was a decent player too. Better than what we have at present.

I wish we could have offered him some sort of pay as you play deal, he was a decent player and if he gets over the injuries will easily find a club at l2 level to start again. Seems a decent bloke, replied individually to messages of support on twitter.

Also, he was the subject of some great songs...

One of my favourite recent Blades memories was the grin on his face as the away end at Yeovil sang

"voulez vous coucher avec moi, Francois"

Shame really as I would have liked to keep on a pay as you play deal.

Another decent LB of ours that could end up retiring because of injury. (I hope that doesn't happen)

The operative word being 'was' his serious injury has ruined his career. Feel lot of sympathy for him.

Sadly we're not really in a position to take a gamble on crocks I guess.

Good luck to the kid but he'll do well to come back at all from nearly 18 months out.

I'm shocked it took as many as 10 replies before we got the obligatory 'He's become world class since he's been injured/has left' post.

I thought he was decent enough before he was injured to be honest. It is easy enough to say he is good now though as we have had to put up with some shite in his absence.

I thought he was good but rather erratic. Certainly better than what we've put up since but no world beater. The 'he's become world class in some people's minds since he left' has become such a cliche though!
