For the reported amount of times we have been linked with him,its blaintently obvious he does not want to play for us full stop.
Move on.

Coventry boss Pressley has told local BBC radio that they have received no bids for Leon Clark other than that of Wolves when he first handed in his transfer request therefore if true that pretty much quashes this rumour!

Looked useless with Wolves at the Lane last year. Then again, he did score a few at Coventry.

Perhaps not a bad shout, but despite the arrival of that cunt from Hull, he still has started 2 of Wolves' last 3 league games, suggesting to me that he is not frozen out just yet, bearing in mind that they are also 3rd in the table.

Is he really the defender we're craving?????

Seriously though, he's probably more mobile than Higdon but still won't score without service, and I can only remember him playing well in a 2 man forward line which doesn't appear to be our current preference.

A fully fit higdon who missed pre season training would be better than Clarke, would be a waste of money and a loan space.

I thought it was the difference between the two sides in that game tbh. Maguire and Collins didn't know what to do with him allowing their midfield to come through.

Sagbo has just joined Wolves from Hull, spelling the end for Leon Clarke there.

Is he someone we should be taking a look at?

Isn't Sagbo Harry Hills incarnation of the love-child of Susan Boyle and X-Factors Wagner?

It's a yes from me.

I suggested him in the summer to a generally muted response, but I think he'd be good for us. Seems to get on the end of crosses.

I didn't want him when I thought there was a possibility of signing his strike partner from Coventry(best was it?)or the young lad from Bradford.... But now porter is edging back into the squad- I'd sign Leon clarkes mum!

I'd take Mini Coldwell and Ena Sharples if he would play them up front

Would never be my first choice due to his history (more so him turning us down previously rather than playing for the darkside) but would certainly be a good fit for the lone striker role NC prefers and is proven to net regularly at pub league level

As others have said, I'd settle for a lot worse that LC if it kept Porter out of the side.

Bleeding Hell that ages you 56! :p

Reminds of the time I used to play for Heanor Town. Used to have a few supporters behind each goal chanting back and forth, one end would start with a shout of 'Heanor!' and the response from behind the other goal was 'Sharples'. Made me giggle first time I heard it

Ages me? I played Albert Tatlock ffs

Despite their quickly swapping places with us, I still laugh when I'm reminded of him stubbing his toe for the grunters v Palace. Tee hee what a berk. Not sure we could take much more high farce/comedy at the Lane!

Hey BB It's Christmas. Easter is the time for getting on the end of crosses

I see he's not played today for Bury and before the game Flitcroft said they had no injury concerns. Now I'm not saying its us that are interested or even that he is likely to move, but Bury have recently had financial problems and I could see Clarke leaving. I reckon he is exactly the type we need to partner Billy. I know he's supposed to be a bit of a ......(insert insult) but he is still quality at this level and would be ideal alongside Billy?

Interesting one. He has a good scoring record in League One. I'm surprised to see he's still only 30.

He would be a big upgrade on Sammon but perhaps not a long term solution.

I doubt it is us that are interested.
