"At the end it would have been easy for the supporters to boo, but they didn't," reflects Leon on the Scunthorpe defeat.

"I think the fans can see we are trying to do something which is maybe a bit different to what has been done in the past.

"They appreciate what the players are trying to do and we need their support. And they showed that, even though we lost heavily."

Changing the system and style of play will take time, probably the whole season. Fans just need to stick behind them and show some patience.

In Speedo we trust.

He was my MOTM on saturday. He seems to get better everytime i see him fantastic energy levels and a good tackler. As someone else said in another thread when Willo is back and if he stays fit ?

Personally thought he was kicked and marked out of the game on Saturday. Didn't think he was bad, just couldn't get going like he did in previous games.

He definitely needs someone creative in front of him though.

I thought the same. He ran the team against Scunny - I've not seen a performance like it since McCall - but against Pompey he had no help in front of him. Ertl did little, Monty looked a little lost, and the forwards lacked movement.

He needs another footballing midfielder to play alongside. No idea who, but when the midfield is a meat grinder (hello Michael Brown), he needs out-balls. We've only got Yeates and Quinny to try just now.

We are missing someone who will make a break from midfield to open up some space for him. It should be Williamson and hopefully will be at some point. T

Agree with sentiments here, he's got more ability in midfield than anyone we have had since McCall. Signing him on a free has to be the best bit of business we have done in terms of bringing people in, for a very long time.

on a similar note, anyone here chedwyn on radio sheffield ?
i now understand what was said in another thread, he sounds thicker than a whale omlette with hippo topping.
listening to him, i get the feeling speed has to paint L+R on his boots and keep reminding him which way we are kicking :)
saying that i dont care if he has shoe size IQ if he can start scoring on a regular basis
