I don't like them because of plenty of previous with them in the past. With an extra special mention to a Easter Monday trip up there in 1990 to see us lose 4-0 and being shit scared at 12 years old because of no end of projectiles being launched our way.

But on the other hand i have got a few good mates who live in Leeds, and i know that i can more or less guarantee a couple of top quality, all day sessions next season.
i can remember having to hide behind the snack bar on the south stand as a terrified youngster while my dad had to fight them off to stop them getting to me and a group of other frightened kids

when i started going to away games my dad made me promise never go to leeds or millwall and i never have and i never will

my brother once told me a story of when he was handing out flyers outside elland rd and the police were tricking the away fans to go down a dead end knowing they would get a shoeing ,tells you all you need to know imo

hope they go straight back down. With the poster who said he dont hate pigs as much as weeds. cannot stand that west yorkshire scum.

How old are you? If you actually listened, instead of making really really amusing comments  you might just see that Tanya Arnold is one of the better sports reporters on the BBC. She's given the Blades some excellent coverage over the years, and her reports on all sports are always well researched, well worded and impartial, apart from a Yorkshire bias which is far from being a crime on a local news programme.
How old are you, and what the hell has that got to do with anything? I'm 41, if that helps.
If you actually paid attention instead of merely letting us see horses and telling everyone yours is the only opinion allowed then you'd know I like to take the mickey out of Look Leeds, apart from Christa who is sex on legs. I don't really worry about the quality of Tanya's reporting, it's usually pretty good as far as regional broadcasters go. It's certainly head and shoulders above the cheapo rubbish on Yorkshire.

She's still a bit manly though.

One thing's for sure, Tanya Arnold will have a hard-on you could break paving slabs with now they're up. Imagine if they'd won the division.

And you just know she's grinning like that because she's giving Little Tanya a damn good seeing-to.

Would that be the Thank You button?

ROFLMAO!

:D

"Michael Jones, Michael Jones, is it true what Wraggy said, you won't come back, oh noooooooo....."

With me until I die.

I remember the Kop singing,
"Hodgy, Hodgy, buy us Mick Jones,
Hodgy, buy us Mick Jones."

He turned round to the Kop and "shot" us - then shrugged knowing what we were saying to him.

I've lived in Leeds since 1969 and whereas I love the city, I hate the United. And their scum fans - I'd rather Wednesday win summat than Leeds - I think!

My wife is a Leeds fan so I have to be diplomatic at home lol

More worried about them leaving the Championship in an upward direction tbh. Uncle Ken isn't going to fart around with 5/10/15/1294849 year plans and property portfolios.

Can anybody remember the bother on the south stand around 1986 ish with them twats. Flares going off, seats being ripped (usual) coppers wading in on the south stand truncheons aplenty?
I was stood on the bottom of the old John street stand near the away fans. About a hundred coppers in that corner during the game!

i think thats the game i was talking about ,they all came wading in after the entrances to the south stand were opened

I'm with the 'it's an age thing'. I've seen Leeds since the late sixties and it transcends hate.

Not the 'Hate Man U/Chelsea/Liverpool/whoever because they win things and are always on TV'

Not the 'Hate Wendy/Barnsley/whoever because I have to work with their fans and get constant gyp.'

No, Leeds are a special case. Under Revie, they were thugs and cheats, nothing more (The Damned United summed that era up pretty well). With success came a huge increase in their numbers which is normal. However this increase in 'support' included a vast number of thugs, retards and people who think Leeds are the biggest team in the World (aided and abetted by Look Leeds).

If you can get hold of a copy, read Hunter Davies' The Glory Game. It covers the 1969/70 era when Leeds used to do choreographed warm-ups, wore poncy little number tabs on their socks and every game at Helland Road was intimidating to say the least.

But it still goes on. Did you see the tiny pocket of Bristol fans in the corner yesterday? Surrounded left, right and behind by Leeds scum? Well in (I think) 1990 we played there and there were just 1200 Blades (all the tickets they gave us). Arriving (incognito, of course) at the ground, I saw my first ever police helicopter hovering over a football match. Ditto a huge Leeds banner being passed around the ground. While warming up, our GK Simon Tracey was practicising long boot-outs (some things never change!). When the ball went into the Leeds half, they kept it! Soon, we had no balls left to warm up with. A small thing, perhaps but one that utterly sums up those scum. Our midfielder (Gannon) had his girlfriend in the stand. She was glassed. They had Gordon Strachan playing. If ever a player and a team were meant for each other... I have never seen fans in such a frenzy in an English ground, whipped up by the PA.

Oh yes, Leeds are la creme de la scum - have no doubts.

Have they changed? Not at all. The ridiculous Gradel should be banned for a season. The up-himself Beckford should get a slap everytime he walks on a pitch. Hewson, Becchio etc. All scum.

all there in one post for me.

Add a couple of bouts of fisticuffs, outside the Lane when they won the title, and outside their place when we played them one easter and they are, by far, the biggest set of twats on this planet by a country mile.

Having said that, once the Pigs were relegated then seeing their big money spinning game disappear down the shitter had its amusing aspect.

I hate Leeds because I love to hate them. For me its a more relaxed rivalry than the one we have with the Pigs and I'm sure most will agree. Any success Leeds have doesnt bother me in the slightest and I'm not at all bothered that they've come up. It will be good to have a big yorkshire derby in Wednesday's absence so its probably a good thing.....

I enjoy us beating Leeds but beyond the games we play against them I couldn't give a toss how well they do, they're from another city so who cares?!!!!

Unfortunatley I have to work in Leeds, and this morning it has already started, with the usual 6 easy points from us next season. Never have and never will like Leeds, the Revie team were the biggest cheats off all time, and after one European Cup semi final, they have this big team mentality, well they are not a big team, and compared to Manure/scousers they never will be. Sad day for me on Saturday, however it does mean I will get into Elland Road next season even if I have to sit with them

When was the last time they took 6 points off us in a season?

I find the best way to wind the Leeds fans up is to tell them they've never won anything. They will then go on one under you point out they were only founded 3 seasons ago.
Petty, childish but fun none the less.

When was the last time they took 6 points off us in a season?

When they won the league in 1991-2. They haven't beaten us since 1993-4, although we haven't played them much in the interim.

They've not beaten us this century and we're currently 11-3 up on aggregate

I'm sure there was some kind of betting scam going off that day.

Ditto ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I was gutted when they went up on Saturday. Gave some serious thought to going to Boundary park to support Charlton in their hunt for automatic promotion. I hate Leeds!!!
