What chances do you think of South Yorkshire's finest allowing the game against the Seat Smashers to take place at 3pm on the Saturday?

Been invited to a stag do on that day in Brum, but holding off until I know when the game will be.

If they're going to change it they should do it as soon as possible. It's one of the matches the Scandinavian Blades are considering to travel over for this spring.

Can't we just ban away fans for this one?

I hope our Police and Stewards take the same approach as the Leeds lot did with us. I'm sure a few on here would agree that they were shocking.

I hope that our Police and Stewards also allow home fans to storm the pitch and not make any arrests just like at Leeds

Of course when the away fans just sing and don't cause any trouble, just send the police in.

Some of the clearest TV images (and no doubt CCTV) of the seat smashing idiots was available and the restrictions on Leeds meant the clubs also had the names and addresses of who was sat in each seat in the BLUT.

Anyone know how many arrests/bans were therefore handed out afterwards?

Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know they didn't bother and pretty much no arrests followed.

LS5, why don't you contact the police? It might lead to nothing, but an e-mail or letter asking about the game might get information. I'm sure other Blades (particularly Bergen and his Norweigen commitment) would be interested in any advance information.

Hopefully SYP will employ the tactics of West Yorkshire's finest. Arrest anyone they like, no reason, throw them in a cell for 9hrs, take them to court, get shown up in court, not be "big" enough to issue an apology.

We have a vote this year and while it's not decided yet the Leeds match seems a popular option. It's frustrating to know there's a chance it'll get moved though. Who would be the right person at SUFC to ask about it?
