Looking on the Leeds forums they just don't appear confident. It many ways it was like reading the comments of some of our forum posters.

Four of their six matches are against teams who have something to play for. A lot seem to think that if they don't get a positive results against Preston it's all over.

Many see us as organised and defensively very resolute. Comments like Bamford is a donkey and ripping into various defenders. Seem to think they will lose some of the six matches ahead. Apparently their best player (not sure who that is) was seen leaving St Andrews in a protective boot.

Despite Leeds fans being quite down at the moment I see a lot of twists and turns to come over the next few weeks. Personally I was gutted after the Bristol City game not just because we lost but because we deserved to lose, they were better than us on the day. Being in third place I felt shit all week. I'm up today and its been a fantastic weekend but I know how quickly things can change.

Looking at both teams the one thing I am confident about is that we have Wilder in charge, he really can be the difference. We will be prepared, of that I'm sure, there are no easy games against us. When was the last time we were battered by anyone (Shit just remembered Birmingham at home 1-1 but we were lucky)

If Leeds lose or draw on Tuesday then we have a real chance to have a little daylight between us and Leeds on Weds.

As a lifelong Blade I never take anything for granted and expect the worst to happen, it has so many times in the past. It was nice to see that Leeds fans are as bad if not worse than us and are certainly not over confident apart from one or two.

I can't see that they are any different from us lot last week after the Bristol game!

It's a roller coaster of emotions this promotion race.

4/6 matches against teams with something to play for? Brentford and Pigs are locked into mid table and Ipswich will be down by then, what am I missing?

They shouldn't be confident theyve lost 8 games this year

We have gone a few games with O'Connell,Duffy and Madine out of the lineup. We didn't do too badly.
They are now returning making us a much stronger squad to have to deal with.

I thought going into these fixtures that if we came out of this week within three points of Leeds we'd be ok and finish 2nd
So I think we can drop points against Brum and it won't affect us too much ,I also don't think Leeds will get more than 2 points out of their next two games but that's bye the bye

Who is the Leeds player rumoured to be injured? I know Douglas is gone for the season but that was before the Brum game.

There was a picture of Hernandez with a protective boot on after the Brum game, but he didn't have crutches, so probably nothing major.

Unfortunately they ought to be they have Roofe back who came on as a sub on Saturday , its very bad news for us as he is a very good striker .

as we say 7 days is long time in football. just because it wasnt promotion secured at leeds. it wasnt all over & play offs v bristol city. there are 6 games of course there are not confident. we arent confident. this will not be straight forward we all know that. weve got birmingham who beat leeds, millwall who shouldve beat Brighton pushed leeds & beat west brom, Forest will tricky good players. Adkins on easter Monday has got irony wrote all over it

No one, us, Leeds, or any of the pack just below, should take anything for granted. Last week some Blades inferred that Leeds would be hard to shift, now, in just seven days, we've swapped positions, our goal difference is looking good and all's well with the world.....all bunkum of course.

As the finishing line is coming into sight, anything can happen to heighten expectation or cause an unheard of dip in mood. you can bet the players of all teams suffer from the same afflictions as the most hardened supporter - some will study league tables, others will be pragmatic, and then there will be players so dependent on superstition that the most personal item or ritual will be the thing that convinces then whether they'll succeed or fail.

There's only one realistic approach to employ; remember what qualities got us here, continue to work hard, and practice what our manager has preached. Unspectacular advice I know, but it is this that will influence our destiny, not the idea of good fortune or wishing for success, especially when we haven't done so up until this point. Graft, skill, talent, and positive attitude will be the cornerstone of our success, and don't forget it. UTMB!!!

I'd be worried if I was Leeds, there defence looks shite whilst ours looks solid in 7 out of 8 games.
Every team who doesn't get promoted this year will see it as an opportunity missed, if any Wednesday chirp up about it being an easy division I'll have to agree whilst maintaining they fucked it royally. The reason Norwich have effectively 'romped it' was they've managed to get the points on the board early, before the 'bigger boys' realised it wasn't a walk in the park anymore.
