Biggest league game since, erm, well - I can't remember.

Hoping last night didn't take too much out of the legs.

Team picks itself I think, especially with Duffy having the night off;

- - - - - - - - - - Henderson - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - Basham - - Egan - - JOC - - - - -

Baldock - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stevens

- - - - - - - Norwood - - Fleck - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - Duffy- - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - Sharp - - McG- - - - - - - - -

Subs: Moore, Cranie, Coutts, Stearman, Johnson, Dowell, Hogan.

Agreed? Thought so.

Nervous and excited in equal measures.

Yep it’s funny how we’ve chopped and changed this year but for our biggest game, I expect we’ll return to the originals !

Leeds did mark Duffy out of the game at the Lane though and their very quick press seemed to knock his confidence. Still he’d get another go at them for me.

I would be tempted to start Dowell over Duffy. He is more direct than Duffy and can put a tackle I which i think we will need

Start the Duff and our best partnership of Sharp and McG.
Our defence gives me great confidence we can get summat.

Agree, Barts
Then bring Duffy on later, maybe.
They will stifle him with their press and there wont be enough room for him to work in.
Need to break the lines and Dowell can do that with a forceful run.

Would have liked to have had Madine for this one. At least as an option of the bench.

I'd definitely start Sharp and Didsy.
Hogan could be an effective 2nd half substitute.

I’d go with that 11 as well. For me, when Duffy plays well we play well.

I agree with going with Dowell over Duffy - he has looked off the pace for a while now (how he won MotM on Sat is beyond me). I'd much prefer to bring him on the the last 25mins if required.

A small concern is how much playing with 10 men for 60 minutes has taken out of the team. Hopefully the data shows not too much and there's enough time to recover fully. At least Norwood avoided the booking to be available, big bonus in the circumstances.

That's my fear as well. Tufty will know how to target training, intensity etc. It was a colossal effort from the players last night

Leeds look to be back to their best

this game is massive, the biggest game in the wilder era since that home game v oxford when we were bottom of L1 & in dire need of victory. as lose we wouldve gone adrift going into the international break with only 1 pt from 4 games. all worried oh god its david weir again. I would chuffed to bits with a point right now

I feel like this, but I also think with games we and they have left a draw is a better result for them than us. A draw keeps the dream alive but it keeps us as third favourites, I think.

I think Dowell vs. Duffy is the only question here. Dowell is much more direct and I really like the look of him but we hold the ball so much better with Duffy on the pitch. He's one of the hardest players to dispossess and links up incredibly well.

Annoyed about Madine, he's a better option than Hogan imo, he offers something different whereas Hogan is very much like Sharp

It's just one of nine games left 3 of 27 points on offer

We can.lose it get 24 points in the last 8 and win the league .
We could win it then go on a run of draws and miss out

We can't put everything at risk by over hyping just one game

Hogan was dog poo last night. He will get better though I hope with games.

Hogan looks lost. Stick between getting the ball and running at defenders or checking back and playing to a midfielder.

He strikes me as the type of player that needs a long run in a team before he will score consistently.

Think he would suit a smaller club or a club with less attacking options. Perhaps a Blackburn or a Wigan for example.

Not for me. I thought Dowell looked like 'little boy lost' last night. Also, sans Duffy, we weren't working our little triangles in the LH corner.

Totally agree with you, Dowell has his qualities but Duffs helps us to keep the ball & work positions with Fleck/Stevens/JOC, we need to keep the ball well on Saturday & while we have it Leeds can't score. Dowell tries too many flicks for me which concede possession; he gets us up the pitch quickly but I am not sure his positional play or knowledge of his teammates is quite there yet for a game of this magnitude.

If judging from the first they employ the same tactics. The man who has the most ball for us will be Egan and he needs to use it better than he did in that game. Although the movement in front of him needs to be quick and decisive therefore 'forcing' Egan to play it to them. Would have been nice to go over the press with madine option but hey ho.
