He's been injured. Had a foot issue, and the wound became infected.

Whats the deal with him?

I know the first thing that people will say is that you can't read too much into pre-season friendlies. However, the Hendrie we saw on numerous occasions was like having a new player.

A cheeky grin and a bit of banter with the ref seemed to show he was enjoying playing and his words of encouragement to the younger lads showed nothing of this supposed bad attitude he's supposed to possess.

He was bombing forward from central midfield, often playing alongside a midfielder who would stay back and soak up the pressure (Wedgbury, Monty) and showed amazing awareness at times to thread balls through opposition defences.

It might take a lot for him to get United fans on-side, but what I've seen of him means I'm not too worried about relying on him. It's about time he put some rumours to bed and the onus is on him to do it.
