He's handed in a transfer request i would like to see him at the lane but, Rotherham are after him also do we really need him?

£2Million ok if i knew that i wouldnt have suggested him he is good but not worth that much

Ticks another Bladeyness box if we go after him.

Although it looks like he is off to Rotherham.

Rumours a few weeks back that the Pigs were looking at him. Wouldn't surprise me if he ends up there. Good to see a rival loosing a key player tho.

Just waiting for one of our key players to go next.

£2m?! We should demand at least that up front for Che then if we are to sell him

2 (hopefully) interesting facts about Lee Gregory:

- he has a huge SUFC tattoo on one of his calls (& is a massive Blade)
- he played for Greenhill White Hart in the Meadowhall League a few years ago

Also offered to the Blades before he went to Millwall. Nigel and his bro weren't interested.

No way should we have missed out on him, so well done to all involved on that one.

It would be good to see a rival weakened if he leaves but at the same time he's out of contract next year, and I'd quite like to see us have a chance of signing him. I think he'd try and instigate a move here too, especially if we get promoted.

This time next year maybe, he'll be out of contract as it stands.

Didnt Rotherham offer £1.5m? we dont have a prayer.

Millwall rejected £1.2m but Gregory hasn't put in a transfer request. If he's out of contract at the end of the season, will it change things if he does put in a request, say, if his boyhood club knock on his door?

Suggestion:

Sell DCL for £1.5m+, sign Gregory for £1.2m.

Look at it like that and it could be a possibility couldn't it?

But would it be wiser to spend any cash from selling DCL on at least three players? Gregory would be great for us though so it's debatable.

How do you know he would be great for us? Most said Higgo would be good for us too and we all know how that turned out don't we

E.g. Spend your pot on one player (Brayford) and he's out injured for a season

Gregory's just scored 23 goals in the division we're in and is the most in demand of any of the strikers in that league last season. He finished the season superbly and it's probably a sign of things to come. He's a Blade and would give everything for us. He's a suitable partner for Sharp because although not an out an out target man, he can compete in the air, hold the ball and run in behind defences. I just think him and Sharp would guarantee 40 goals. So I would consider going big on a player like him but I think it would probably be wiser to sign 2 or 3 good players, although obviously it depends on who we could get.

Why would Millwall take £1.2 million off us when they've rejected that amount from Rotherham?

Go on then, I'll take that bet.

(what an odd thing to say)

Odd,read his description of Gregory as a player,he is nothing of the sort,he plays with a big man up front at Millwall for starters, and he will not be handing a transfer request in,because it would mean him losing a lot of money
