We have succumbed to seasonal goodwill and this morning agreed the transfer of Lee Evans to Wigan. Therefore he is in their starting line up. Could come back to bite us this one.

Odd decision by the club that one.

The Blades not playing well will bite us more than a midfield player who would be struggling to get into our match day squad

I'll repeat what I said when Leonard played for Millwall - you take every advantage you can get.

Yep, allowing Wigan to play Evans gives us a significant advantage. Firstly, we know the type of player he is, we know his weaknesses and his strengths. Secondly, he’s not very good.

Perfectly reasonable that we let him play if you ask me. He is to all intents and purposes their player and has been since we let him go.

I don't consider Norwood to be Brightons player either.

If we didn't seem him good enough for our team then I see no reason why we wouldn't allow him to play against us today.

He may have a worldie, he probably won't. But either way he is their player as far as I'm concerned. We should not give them any potential excuse to back out of the already agreed transfer.

Unbelievable business by us this one.

As for him playing, doesn't bother me one iota. He may have a blinder, he may not.

Ultimately we agreed a deal months ago and have stuck to it. I'd rather take the money and let him play.

As I understand it sticking to the deal would mean that we get the money and he doesn't play today.

If they’ve signed him permanently then he’s their player and we can’t stop him from playing.

Be gutted if he scored and stops us winning but i'd be even more gutted if he was lining up for us instead of Norwood and we were back to the days of our midfield being walked through by other teams

Not only do we get 1m for him, we also get to put the better player we bought to replace him against him.

This is only na issue if anyone thinks Evans is better than Norwood really.

I'd be all for disrupting them but not if it might give an opportunity for the deal to fall through. Not at 1m anyway!

Look forward to him slowing the play down and passing sideways as Norwood zings it around metronomically across the park.

Who cares!?

We've got Oli Norwood, he is fuckin rate good, just needs to get it in the box now!!!

Crashed one off the post just before H/T. Could have been virtually game over that.

Great news for him, Wigan and us. I’ve no problem with former players playing against us when they’re not that good

Am I missing something here, wasn’t Evans deemed not good enough by majority on here?

He’s like the Championship Messi by kick off today. Oh hang on no, he is still not good enough to get in our side. Still scored one of the best goals I have ever seen for us though.
