It seems Lee Evans is very talented, has a bit of swagger but has an attitude thinking he’s better than he is.
They say he has potential to be a really good player but far too inconsistent, so they reckon he’s probably average Championship level.

Average Championship level is fine, actually, if he's surrounded by players who are better than average Championship level (as he will be if he breaks into the first XI). Our problem since injuries bit us is that some of our squad players who have had to step up are sub-average Championship level.

Must admit I didn’t think much to Wilson’s, thought he came across a little bit “big time Charlie.” Hopefully not a Freudian slip when he remarked that he “didn’t know if he was looking forward to it or not” with regards to Wilder’s no-nonsense management style. The other way of looking at it is that he’s young and confident, which may well be refreshing for the squad, but my first impression wasn’t great. Got a good feeling on Lee Evans. He sounds enthused and comes with a reputation as having something in him. I’ve a feeling Wilder will make a player of him.

Well Leonard needs to step up then seeing as he's been far worse than Evans whenever he's featured. The only half decent game he's had for us was in the back 3 at home to Forest.

Seems a bit odd to start Evans the first two games then get shut. Ok if Wilder has decided he isn’t good enough or hasn’t settled.....but if this was the conclusion why did Evans feature at all? Surely Wilder had made his mind up about the lad over the summer?
