As I put on another thread, nothing against him but that would be disaster for his career. As man city is the last place I want to go as they are turning into a graveyard of English talent that used be good before they went & disappeared of face of earth rodwell, lescott, delph, sinclair, adam Johnson & technically Richards , wright Phillips

Even great talents like dzezo & negredo who cost 50m ish between them left because they were suck of being on the bench

Feel sure he would be signed straight back on loan for the rest of the season and maybe even next season too, though a Prem Club would want him learning in the Championship I suppose.

It all sounds "pie in the sky" though. Adams hasn't played well since early season, has a recent behaviour incident and doesn't have a "natural football brain". What he has though is strength, a surge of pace, certain skills and an eye for a goal, something to work on but there must be plenty like him at his age frankly.

It would be ironic if he signed for £3m for Man City and loaned back to us but not good enough for our first team.

Yeah his attitude been poor since October, whether he gone a bit saido Berahino & let praise go to his head. If he was like dele alli working hard not resting on his laurels he may have had a shot

Nice of the Coventry press to write us off in January!

"...The reports now suggests that seven-goal Adams could be available for a fee around £3million with the Blades looking unlikely to trouble the play-off places this season..
..."

However it goes on to say......

"As they will be firmly established in the top two come May."..........o_O

Why would City line up a £3m bid when the club would probably snatch their hands off for half that amount?
To blow any smidgen of competition out of the water I'd presume.

When you're used to handing out sums 10/15 times that, a couple of million barely makes a spike in the graph.

For those who missed it, it was posted a couple of days ago that his dad has just died.

Can't imagine what that's like at his age but I'd guess it's pretty shit and probably affected his performances.
No doubt about it BB. I know what the lads going through, gutted for him.

Some of these comments are laughable, he's 19 FFS. He's shown patches of real quality, something to work on and develop. How people can be so quick to give up on him I've no idea.

Just back him, he's not perfect and will make more mistakes no doubt as most people his age do. He's not been brought up in the professional game and has only spent the last year at a professional club so it's bound to be a learning curve for him.

Hadn't heard that, feel for the lad and would certainly explain away some of his recent performances, they aren't robots.

Well fucking said, mate. There is no point selling your players who have real potential when it's quite clear that we don't reinvest the money as good as we should do. Keep him and nurture his talents, why would we do anything else..........

Oh yeah:rolleyes:

I mean if there was a guarantee that the £3 million would be reinvested, in full, on the first team then I'd say it's a tempting offer. But as you rightly say, it won't. I really couldn't give a shit what money our players are sold for now because the money isn't reinvested more often than not, so I just want to see us keep hold of our better players regardless, after all we were told that would happen when the Prince came on board.

Potential comes at a price and always has done, no matter what league you are in, for every Kyle Walker there is a Jordan Slew. It's the chance you take. We have done it ourselves. Only time will tell whether he falls into the Brian Deane/ Tony Agana/ Alan Kelly catagory or the Chris Guthrie / Richard Cadette bracket
