Can anyone tell me - is the league cup match next Tuesday at home free to season ticket holders?

I'm sure I've heard it somewhere but can't find any info on it on the OS.

Cheers

It is mate, your season ticket will be automatically activated

Nope... every ticket issued gets counted. Which includes those given away.
My attempt at irony not quite worked ...... but when we did that for the cup game last season what was the attendance?

I don't have a season ticket so I'm going to queue from 5 am when tickets go on general sale. Hope they organise it better than the Bolton ticket debacle.

Now I'm confused. The EFL Cup is the new reincarnation of the JPT. Last season (2015/16) in the JPT we played Hartlepool,Notts County and Fleetwood. In the Carling League Cup we beat Morecambe before going out to Fulham.

Now on the OS, these games have been re-branded for last season to EFL Cup (as was the Carling League Cup) and EFL Trophy (as was JPT). Surely the EFL name only came in this season (2016/17)?

Why the retrospective re-classification? And what is Tuesdays game? League Cup or fucking newer-rebranding of the JPT. It's showing on the OS as EFL Cup, so has the JPT been discarded?

My brain hurts.

Thanks for that (see below!)

That's why I couldn't find anything obvious on the OS.

Is it so hard for them to just call it the League Cup and the whatever the hell the JPT is?! Rather than confuse matters by calling them the EFL whatever!

The League Cup has officially been the Football League Cup since its launch in 1960/61 - it's just had a series of sponsorship names plastered over the top. The League Trophy has similarly always been the Football League Trophy but with a different sponsor (Johnstone's Paint Trophy). Both have had the "English" prefix added as the overall league competition has changed from the Football League to the English Football League.

Football League Cup pseudonyms:
Milk Cup, Littlewoods Challenge Cup, Rumblesows Cup, Coca-Cola Cup, Worthington Cup, Carling Cup, Capital One Cup, EFL Cup

Football League Trophy
Associate Members' Cup, Freight Rover Trophy, Sherpa Van Trophy, Leyland DAF Cup, Autoglass Cup, Auto Windshields Shield, LDV Vans Trophy, Johnstone's Paint Trophy

I'll be honest, I only knew a couple of the FLT names and the Littlewoods Challenge Cup name is before my time - I've got to credit Wikipedia.
