Given the situation regarding McDonald's hammy it is reasonable to assume that Monty has a chance of starting at Wembley. If this is the case then he is Club Captain and may take the armband. Now the contribution that Monty makes in general is questionable and this season he has missed a lot of games. Doyle has been consistent and a good captain. It would be an absolute travesty if Doyle is stripped of the arm band for the play off final and Monts leads the team out.

If Doyle loses the arm band for this fixture I think it would be a right slap in thr face.
What's everyone else think.

nick montgomery doesnt deserve to lead the team out at wembley,to be honest he doesnt deserve to figure in the starting 11.
If it comes to pass that kmac isnt available then he should be shoved on the bench.
Doyles`silent`displays have been extremely effective this season and he deserves his plaudits, and the armband of course.

Give mongy the armband and put it over his eyes , can't hurt can it ?

Doyle was interviewed talking about how proud he is to be leading the team out at Wembley, so I'd imagine you can read a bit into that :)

No disrespect to Monty (thought he did well the other night too) it's Doyle's armbard and job for now.

For as long as he is in the team as far as Im concerned. Now it seems clear we will never see Morgs again

Michael Doyle has won a hell of a lot of people round this season. It's too early to call him a cult hero but he's on his way, I think.

He was quite excellent on Monday, particularly in the first half. The flair of Lowton, Willo and Quinny overshadowed him a bit in the second.

He's well worth the armband. I give him great credit. The fact that I'm of Irish descent is, of course, immaterial. It's not an ecumenical matter.

Doyle has earn't it over the course of this season. He's been a fantastic leader. I imagine if something were to happen and hw captain's armband went elsewhere, then it would be to Collins. Who'd have thought that 12 months ago?

I second this. If only for the fact that I listened to a 5 minute interview on RS the other night, with him speaking English, and I had no idea at all what he was saying.

You should hear Quinny. I had the pleasure of meeting him at MK station post defeat last month and sounded like one of those jockeys you hear after winning the Grand National. Having said that he was an absolute pleasure to talk to for the 10-15 minutes we were chatting. He does need a shave though. :D

Let's hope Monty is on the bench.... In his back garden.
Monty is shocking. Yes he puts 100% in, but so does Doyle. And Doyle can pass a ball more then 5 yards without giving it away.

Doyle has been terrific this season at leading the squad in his effort.
It's Doyle's armband to lose. Not just because Montgomery has come back.

Am I pushing a revolving door here?
Would be mighty pissed off if Monty gets a place and the armband in the final.
Would Danny do that to Doyle?

what's the craic with doyle and collins?? are they the same blokes as last year or what??

Anyone heard anything on local radio about KMac and if Monty will start.
Doyle must be captain for this one - regardless

I think this is the first unanimous poll I've ever seen on here.

Big thanks to Doyle for showing everybody that a non-premiership defensive midfielder doesn't have to be limited to one ability, that being the ability to run around forever.

It turns out that just because he can try hard, pass, shoot, tackle and have decent positional awareness, doesn't instantly mean "if he could do all that he wouldn't be playing for us".
