I've heard O'Connel has got good leadership skills, to say he's only 22. Captained Rochdale a few times by sound of it.

In that case.. I believe O'Connell has good leadership qualities, we are supposedly looking at McFadzean like you mentioned. Then there are the likes of Basham and Brayford, who I think both have good leadership qualities. I am by no means a big Basham fan, but he does have heart and passion - And that is all that's needed from a Midfield leader.

Basham,if he plays regularly, maybe, Brayford, too quiet and laid back for me.

22 league appearances and 33 overall last season. Not a chance he'll be in L1 again anytime in the near future.

And anyway I'd prefer someone with a bit of character. That's what we're all about.

A midfield leader ought to have a brain and be able to express himself and command respect perhaps.

I seem to remember Fleck as a quiet efficient player but maybe he can be a leader, he's been in the first team for 9 years and he's only 24 years old!!
