Hull City captain last year was Lewis Coyle. A fiery character who allegedly got involved in a shirtless brawl outside a local pub. Based on this a fiery, hard living captain, Gus is the obvious choice. I recommend he keeps his shirt on though if he gets involved in any punch ups. Don't want the press calling him fat.

Hamer getting the captaincy is laughable. He moans at the ref all game and can't be bothered half the time.

We still desperately need a captain. Someone who can influence players on the pitch.

If it's Hamer and Robbo then we're fucked this season.

Was there one? Until Robbo came on it you really couldn’t tell. Hamer is not captain material! He seemed disinterested for much of the game and certainly not one to help orchestrate defensively.

I’ve never seen such a quiet bunch of players. Leadership is definitely lacking

Yes, I see some arm waving and moaning but it’s mainly aimed at the ref

I’ve not seen the Selles interview but someone said he mentioned bringing the average age down, but we’re already very young before he joined. We’re not a finishing school for young footballers, we’re aiming to go from 3rd to 2nd.

One can say we deserve all the pelters we are getting after tha show! Not seen many games in my time when the team creating loads of chances get hammered like that.
Scunthorpe at home 0-4 was similar in that respect.
Going into the game with an half baked defence was always going to cost us.
Who do you blame ? Selles is still finding out about us! So can't blame him! Has to be owners who seem pre-occupied trying to balance the books which is just about impossible if you want to get out of the division at the right end.
Relegation not likely? Tell that to Sunderland,Leeds ! others including us.

I agree, age is not really an issue with this squad.

Is this Selles’s opinion or has he been told to do this by our esteemed owners?
