A team captain (as opposed to a club captain) has several duties:
* Be able to play his own game with knowledge on what is happening on the pitch
* Inspire and motivate teammates who are struggling
* Bollock team mates at an appropriate time
* Converse with the manager on what is right and what is wrong to ie/ tactics and individual performances.

Is Arblaster ready and capable for all of these responsibilities?

United's captain is unarguably doing great so far. Captained his team to a derby victory the other day with the opposition having zero shots on target. Joint top of the league. Captain comb over could only dream of that!

We're top of the league. Are you suggesting we should be even further ahead of the rest of the league?

Yes.

End the tread.

Pretty much every Sheffield United player in this squad is also capable of these requirements of communicating, bollocking, inspiring and most importantly... playing football.

Didn't see much of this in Wendy's side just over a week ago. Just loads of oinking

Have you ever tried calling 'Praise & Grumble'?

The manager and coaching staff think he's ready. They see the players daily and know their personalities.

These are the type of calls that are impossible to as fans to really judge as we don't know the players personally.

But I don't think captaining a football team on match day has any major impact on the player other than a confidence boost

But he wasn't captain second half when we scored

No, he should be left to concentrate on his own game

A logical reply 👏

Nice to see the lad cuddled up to Martha Wilder in the posh seats tonight. Great way to make sure the gaffer doesn’t forget about you whilst you’re out injured 😂
