I had a listen yesterday mainly to hear what they said about Wilder. The fact that they still think Slav will turn it around suggests that they haven’t seen us play for a while.

They are decent though and it’s normally an interesting listen.

I've listened to this podcast every week since the 2017-8. season It's really good (although it's another one that was better when they stuck to an hour: indeed they used to pride themselves on that). It is an excellent companion to the Quest show.

However, as I have said elsewhere I disagree with what George Elek said about the squad this week, and it isn't the first time he's said it. I do agree when he says that Jokanovic is under performing, but he also believes that we have a high quality squad. he specifically mentioned the bench on Saturday, and said that Hourihane (who is someone who's been interviewed on the pod more than once), Baldock and McBurnie are high quality players. Based on the evidence of my own eyes I do not think this is true any more. The squad is nowhere near as good as he thinks it is - their pre season prediction for us was 4th.

Ally Maxwell proffered the view that the players had been damaged by the relegation. I think that's much nearer the mark.

I thought their Wilder bit was good too and am always interested in what George says about him as he is an Oxford fan. There wasn't much said about the problems encountered last season by Wilder, which is the biggest red flag for his appointment for me, although FWIW I think he'll do a fine job.
