Well he doesn't beat about the bush does he? Say what you mean and all that!

"....On Dean Hammond, #sufc boss CW: "He's taken the option, but as far as I'm concerned we'll be looking for someone else in midfield."

"boss Chris Wilder says he'll sit down with George Long tomorrow. A decision on the keepers future will be made then."

Nice, clear and decisive. I like.
Up to you George...

Let's be honest, Wilder's not put a foot wrong since he's joined in terms of both words and actions. It's all very promising so far.

Regarding Long, I want him to stay. His improvement over the course of last season was one of the very few positives to take. There's still a lot of room for improvement (N. Adkins, 2015) but how many 22 year-old goalkeepers in League One are the finished article?

He still gets criticism from sections of our fan-base but surely the pros of keeping him outweigh the cons. Give him time and he could easily develop into a top-level goalkeeper.

Oh and if we find a buyer for any of our transfer listed players I'll be chuffed.

CW: "If I'm a professional I'd want to play."

SUFC's seven transfer listed players react...

More on George in this video. I like how certain he is on the players having to want to be at the club. He's not saying it because it's what we want to hear - He's saying it because he believes in it. That's half the battle. If he gets players in that buys into / shares his mentality, we will do fine.

You could fill it with water and a big bunch of flowers, stick it in the middle of the park and it would still be more mobile than Hammond. If only it was playing for us at Old Trafford instead of Mr Clumsy Feet, eh? ;)
Is the vase as fragile as James Wallace?

#sufc CW says he's received interest in several of his transfer listed players.

(receptionist) "Mr Wilder, there is a Nigel Clough asking for you on line one"

(CW) "Hello Nigel.....thanks, yes I think I will be very happy here as well......Paul Coutts?....yes he is available"

(receptionist) "Mr Wilder, sorry to interrupt, we have a Nigel Adkins for you on line two?"

(CW) "Sorry Nigel, another call, let me call you back"

(CW) "hello Nigel....thanks, yes I think I will be very happy here as well......Dean Hammond you say?.....and Martin "Woolford...."

(receptionist) "Sorry Mr Wilder, don't mean to interrupt again, we have a Danny Wilson for you on line three"

(CW) "sorry Nigel, phone is going crazy today, let me call you back"

(CW) "Hello Danny....thanks, yes I think I will be very happy here as well......Ryan Flynn.....well..."

(receptionist) "Really sorry Mr Wilder, we have a Carlos Carvalhal on line four, asking about Steffan Scougall or any other player who knows how to score at Wembley?"

It's given me 7 years of service and never missed a beat. Once, Mrs Bon knocked its lip on the tap, giving it a nasty chip. Instead of just laying about in the under-sink cupboard for months on injured reserve it said 'Boss, I'm fine, it's only a flesh wound. Get that water in me and find the biggest bunch of flowers you can. I'm going out there and no one can stop me'.

And then it fell apart in her hands so yes, it is.

Is it me or does this make no sense?

If a player wants to play and is surplus to requirements where they are, surely this makes it easier to move them on.

Think the point is they dont want to play or put the effort in and dont want to try and get a move anywhere so its hard to move them on....

It's you.

He's implying certain players aren't bothered about playing for this club but are still difficult to move on. Most likely because they ain't gonna get as sweet a deal elsewhere, so it's a struggle to get the terms right.
