If I remember rightly it was touted by Adkins and the club during the "meet the manager" event that supposedly we are no longer the big hitters of the league when it comes to finances and wage bills. I am sure they said that 4 or 5 clubs at that point had bigger wage bills than us however this was pre Sharp, Sammon and Edgar therefore I would imagine that this will have changed slightly as I am pretty sure that the first of those three will most probably has increased ours substantially.

I remember at the time trying to work out who these teams could be and I could only see the obvious Wigan and possibly Peterborough as they have been splashing the cash out on signings, other than that I can't possibly think who the big spenders are.

I can see it's displayed differently but in what way is the content different? Genuine question.

I had assumed the £8.4m on Wages and Salaries included football related wages, otherwise who's earning all that?!

It's a summary. The accounts are available from companies house for £1. The figures in the summary can be misleading as in this instance they duplicate information , ie Wages.

All wages are in cost of sales. They have then stripped out info from an accounts note and it looks like wages are a separate figure.

In any event, those figures don't agree with the accounts so aren't that helpful.

The accounts to look at from Companies House are Blades Leisure Ltd and Sheffield United Football Club Ltd to see where the football club financial results are. BL Ltd is the holding company for the football club.
