Could be like this for a while because when you take a look at Watford, Burnley and Norwich, there's some absolute shite coming down too. Might be better without Fulham, Bournemouth and Forest and with those three although without Gibbs-White you expect United to be worse.

I’d take having a fully fit squad over MGW. Losing Bogle, Bash, Brewster Didsy & Sharp has hurt us far more than when MGW was out for a month or so.
With the injured players back and a couple more additions/loans we’ll be top 6 next year & maybe even challenging for the autos.

For me I think if we did the unlikely and went up we’d do a Norwich and come straight back down I think we need a couple more seasons to rebuild get rid of some older players and get the best out of our younger ones and have a right good go. Obviously if it happened before I’d be happy but if not oh well. Like I say 2 years hopefully we have Brewster and Ndiaye on fire.

Maybe this time we could try signing a footballer or two, so that when we got relegated we could fund another go at it.

I doubt it, but we might stumble across somebody by accident if we were in the Prem.

As for the play offs, I don't want them, not while this team can perform that badly

There's performing badly, and then there is the Sheffield United way of performing badly.

Performing to a level that is several levels below bad.

A level of performance so bad that any team in a division below us having a bad day themselves would still beat us.

This level of bad is specially reserved for Sheffield United and would come to the fore in bucketloads if we somehow scraped into the play offs.

So, I don't want it personally.

Let somebody who won't embarrass themselves and bore the entire nation to death get there instead.

Agree 100%. But we’ve said this numerous times this season and we seem to have come back with a string on decent results.
Plus near enough all the rest of the play off chasing teams seem to be inconstant just like us.

Don’t think we’ll get a play off spot now. Entering the crucial final few games with zero momentum or consistency . Injuries aside that performance against Reading was so woeful, I don’t see how the team will recover from it.

it was a very depressing performance i agree but with the number of injuries weve got hecky just hasnt got enough options basham has to come back in tomorrow for me mcburnie needs benching where his few decent performances have come from berge has to start and jebbo up top with nidaye and mgw in behind him i really think we have to go for the win at brizzle

For me, Forest and Huddersfield will be 3rd and 4th.
Which means it’s between us, Luton and Middlesbrough for the last two play off places.

For all this hype ... honestly are UTD ready for another crack at the big time?!
