I really can't remember the last time I felt as good as this about my beloved Blades. Well actually thinking about it I can, it was the early 70's and we were widely recognised as one of if not the best footballing team in the land. We're playing at a different level right now of course, but everything is there to move this club forward.

From the utter despair and dejection that I felt this time last season it's incredible. I'm so proud to be a Blade I could almost burst. UTB.

I sneer at folk who call it the dog and duck league. Its the 6th best supported league in europe and has been home to clubs that have won european trophies. Eleven winners of the football league have spent seasons in it. To disrespect it is to disrespect what english football is . The birthplace of the game

Highest scorers in all four English divisions - and achieved with only one own-goal!

Highest points total (already!) in our history (3 points for a win)

17 different scorers (so far). Record is 19 in 2008-09

Most League wins in a season (46 games)

Successive League wins: Currently 6, probably 7 next Sunday. Record is 8 so achievable if 'carried over' to next season.

Highest League scorer (Billy - 30 so far) since Keith Edwards (34) in 1983-84

You are right, it is just a shame we don't do more to protect all 4 divisions, but then the Top 6 in the Premiership don't want that.
