Seeing as we are rubbish and not getting out of this division in a upward direction for a while are we allowed standing areas? I thought that it was only for the top 2 divisions? If so we should take all the seats out in the middle from half way up to the back and make it standing. Cheaper and create a good atmosphere and then I could move away from the dickhead that I was forced to sit near all through Saturday's game :-).

There's already one oversized, constantly half empty stadium in Sheffield.

No need for another.

so after 5 games we are out of it ,

http://www.sheffieldwednesday-mad.c...10_2011/5/sep/sheffield_wednesday/index.shtml

Looking at that table after 5 games Wednesday looked certs for promotion and southampton , like us had 4 points (they lost their 5th game)
,piggies finished 15th saints went up, we just need to start scoring , like southampton did

Do you honestly not see the difference?

Southampton had the likes of Rickie Lambert, Lee Barnard, Guly do Prado, Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jose Fonte.

We've got shithouse Murphy and toss bag Taylor.

we had a very similar bunch , that came third then lost out , all those you mention made their name getting them out of the division , they had failed before, they had started just as ineptly as we had , and it continued, they were 3rd bottom after 7 games with 5 points from 5 draws , then they went mad in october ,

We are just scoring goals away from emulating them and that we can address
41 games left means anythings possible

Lambert was one of the best strikers in the football league. He had scored 79 league goals in 192 appearances for Bristol Rovers and Rochdale.

he was proven in league 2, hed just had his best season with bristol rovers doubled his previous best in a flying then bristol rovers team

While the holes in the squad quality must be immediately addressed, if we could get rid of those big daft poles in the Kop that would be very much welcomed by me. My season ticket seat view is partially blocked by one and it winds me up like nothing else.

move abit, plenty of space

There's no point touching the ground until it's not at least a third empty every week...

Get to the top league, get established, then improve the stadium.

Getting ahead of ourselves but if this guy is a billionaire (still to be confirmed), and he is committed to getting us to the Premiership regardless of cost (still to be confirmed) then rebuilding the kop while the ground is a 1/3 empty would be the right time.
Rebuilding the Kop would take 12-18 months though and I think we'll be averaging under 20,000 for that period in league one.

Much as though I'm against us spending more on the ground, that's a very good point - and might be a measure of the new regime's intent.

Mind you, if he just wants to flog for a profit, as suggested elsewhere, that might not be in his interests.
