It's all about him and his career. He doesn't give a rats about loan numbers, that's your tune and it's a dud.

If we've really offered him £28K we've lost the plot. Anything over £15K per week (the income from about 3,000 season ticket holders) would be madness.
Ambition = extravagant wages?Depends how much ambition.
Ambition = extravagant wages?
Extravagant wages + (championship side - parachute payments) = bad times.
Things can't be as bad as you make out then!Easily solved
Promotion = TV Money + Sponsorship Money + Increased attendances
Result = Ability to pay higher wages for decent players

mmmmm.......
If the management at BDTBL was quality the forward planning of the Blades wud have had success and extravagant wages hand in hand.
Not certain about the extravagant wages but we've had no success.
The Blades hard up .... well without quality management were in the shit!.... even with it things will be difficult.
How much would you pay Kilgallon, and what evidence do you have that we haven't already offered him that?

So in summary..
Player and club spell out the side of the story which suits their position best. Player leaves in January. half of us howl at the moon at being sold down the river again no ambition etc whilst the other half applaud the clubs position and declare undying loyalty to the plan whereby once every other club not run by KM has gone bust we will rule the world.
Don't we have this situation annually and has anyone who takes part in the debate ever switched sides as a result of all the mud slinging?
The horses mouth also said that we were still in discussions last month.
it's a fair point raul, but I'm not actually on any side. I don't have the facts to hand to get excited about it. I just can't understand why some people, armed with as few facts as I am, are continually determined to hate their own club.
Alco, there is a big difference between discussions and the actual offering of a contract.
My understanding is that its well know McCabe wants out.. he's been looking for new investors worldwide for years even employing sum fancy firm to help out.
Business wise he's no fool and i get the impression he is unwilling to commit the finances to the Blades which MIGHT bring success.
The result of this limbo status means QUALITY players will dissapear away from BDTBL faster than a gipsies greyhound.
Just my humble opinion of course.![]()
IMO, We are showing signs (on the footballing front) of distress & decline!!. Does anyone else agree that recently (ie the last 3/4 seasons) the club mirrors United of the 80's!!, A Chairman unsure in which direction he should take the club!. Manager(s) that have all-too-soon reached the pinnacle of their managerial skills and been found wanting!, and a team slowly losing it's better players and replacing them with more experienced (much older/many past their sell-by-date!, remember Stewart Houston, Phil Thompson, Kennedy, McKnaught, Burridge, Withe etc!??) players. With the progress made at the club in recent years, Financially and to the stadium & surrounding areas, surely a slide back to the footballing staff standards of 30 years ago won't be allowed!!. That's why we should be doing our upmost to keep hold of players like Killa, Morg's is not gonna last many more seasons, more's the pity.![]()

None the less, we somehow managed to get a wagebill of £20M (on some very average players)

If MC Wants out then surely a prem side would mean selling at a far higher price, let says if we are worth 40 mil (which we are not btw) then if we was in the prem we would be worth 80 mil plus, which means not not get promotion is costing loads of money for any future sale
I cant remember a Kennedy actually; which one was that?
Yes i agree..... bad management.
Andy. He was on loan from Birmingham in 1986-87. He went to Blackburn in the late 1980s
