Kieron Wallace

He represented England Under 17's so he must have something about him. I've barely seen him play so can't really judge, I know he was highly rated at Forest before us but was a victim of Billy Davies' anti-youth policy.

He needs to knuckle one position down now if he's to have any future, we have too many utility players as it is. He was decent at Ilkeston at centre half, he made a Maguire style foray into the opposition's half with the ball which ultimately led to DCL's goal. Wouldn't mind seeing more of that from him.

Finally.

A post about Kieron Wallace on a thread attributed to Kieron Wallace.

Anyone reckon owt to him yesterday? See he was made captain.

Clough has gone, get over it.

has he.... when did that happen... and why has no-one said anything about it!!

my point which appears to be completely lost on you is not about clough or even Adkins... its the so called fans who despite the same things being said and happening, those said fans think when clough did it he was the devil incarnate and incompetent and now adkins is doing it (the same things) he is the messiah and a tactical genius....

Wallace has been primed as cover for CB pre-season...I'm guessing he'll start tomorrow at Morecambe as CB...

Hope so
Him and Edgar would be nice tomorrow, they can't be any worse than the two before them

Got to admit this kid impressed me the other day. Was up against a wily old pro in Coppinger and I forgot he was playing. What he had to do he did, got forward whenever he could and he's very good with the ball.

There's no reason for McEveley to come back in the side. Keep Wallace in while Harris fit, he's got a lot of potential. He's not scared to take the ball forward and can do the basics in defence.

Agree with that. Thought KW was contender for MoM Saturday.

It seems Harris will be the last of the big guns to be back fit and I'd be more than happy to have Wallace fill in until then.

Will Adins be doing the pre-match press conference today? Be interested to see how close Done is to being involved for Burton/Port Vale.

Yet again, for me, another impressive performance by Wallace.

I didn't see the Port Vale game admittedly so I don't know whether he deserved dropping but I thought it was harsh. And in the second half having two full backs comfortable with the ball really helped us going forward. Wallace and Baxters quick incisive play directly after their second to win the corner we scored from summed it up for me.

Thought McEveley defended well but was hopeless with the ball, Wallace defended well, was good with the ball and looks dangerous going forward.
It's got to be his shirt to lose now, he's earned it well and truly.

Plays with an experience way beyond his years and I think he's finally found himself a position.

Wallace has done well at full back but I'm sure I read on here after the port Vale
game how he was found out a little when up against a good direct winger, a
comment was square pegs etc, at the moment though I think he looks our best
bet at left back

I thought he stuck McEveley in there to specifically counter Vicenti's height. Seemed to make sense anyway.

Maybe so, come to think of it.
He went more up top when Wallace came on which was bizzare. Surely if he stayed out wide he would have beaten Wallace to just about every header... Nevermind, can't complain as whoever Wallace was up against he coped well.

According to Wikipedia and various other sources on the internet, Wallace (1.86M) is actually 1cm taller than McCeveley (1.85M).
