I know a couple of the Wednesday backroom staff and they said the reason why he wasn’t playing earlier in the season whilst Luhukay was manager was because he’d refused to train more than 2 days a week. I can’t see Wilder accepting that either.

We should take Hendo on loan from Man U (if they would allow it) and bring in an end of career Prem GK to act as backup and let Hendo learn from his experience and obviously play at least the two Prem games v Man U. Prem teams normally have 3 GK's, so Moore can stay if he wants to.

Not that I don't want us to re-sign Henderson, but what good is potential if he's not your player?

You would think a perm deal for Hendo could be in the offering, with a resign and/or sell on percentage you wouldn't have thought it would be ridiculous.
All that said, I'm not 100% convinced he's Premiership quality, but until he's played at that level, who's to say and he's clearly got the right attitude in and around our squad.

Assuming we sign Hendo, we still need another keeper. I'd quite like us to sign someone like Marshall from Hull. A keeper that's been there, done it and probably likely to be fairly happy to play second string at a later stage in their career. I think signing a second keeper like Marshall would probably help Hendo develop too.

Funnily enough, I had the exact same thought this morning (regardless of which division Utd are in next season). I see Moore as no better than a decent L1 keeper, certainly not a regular starter in the Champ and miles away from Prem standard. Marshall would be an excellent understudy as long as he'd be prepared to do that.

Etheridge at Cardiff would be my preferred choice should they be relegated and Henderson not stay for whatever reason.

Yep - Henderson 1st choice and perhaps that is why CW was a Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Etheridge would be a great signing - only thing here is we would have to purchase and it would take £10m? out of the transfer budget.

If we cant get Hendo for whatever reason i think Darren Randolph would be a good shout , not sure of his contract situation at boro but hed be up there as a possible. Most important position in any team in Wilder we trust.
