Feels like this could be a decent signing - proper competition with Duffy. He was one of the best attackers in the league the first half of the season before karanka came in to forest and has a genuine goal threat Whixh we don’t have in midfield.

I Like mcgoldrick but he’s not the same player as Duffy when he has to drop in after 70 minutes. So it was a gap that needed filling

The forest criticisms seem to be his lack of aggression. Shouldn’t be an issue under wilder and the role he’ll be required to play.

I’m hopeful we’ll seem more of him than woodburn.

Reading between the lines , I get the impression that his demise in the second half of last season was more to do with Karanka fucking him about than anything else .

If he can reproduce his early season form , which I think he will , we're quids in .

Karanka is part of the anti-attacking football brigade, so it makes sense his performances fell off, when he became manager.
