I'm trying to figure out how Marsh starts ahead of Campbell or Brewster? 🤔

Same here, think the pecking order is this.
1) Moore
2) Brewster
3) Campbell (could play wide as well)
4) Marsh (could play the 10 as well)
5) Oné

Marsh is probably 4th choice at the moment so unlikely to play more than a few cameo appearances here and there unless we have injuries.

If Wilder had brought in another striker on deadline day then I'm sure Marsh would have gone out on loan, which isn't a bad thing.

If it's purely as striker than Onè goes above Marsh imo.

Of all the U21’s i think that Louie Marsh will be one that has the most successful career. At the moment he can’t show his true ability with the seniors playing championship football because of his physique, but that will come, when it does he will be a top player……he needs to be patient but it will happen.
He has the ability to score all sorts of goals, you can’t teach that,it’s a talent you’ve either got it or you haven’t.

Was knackered from internationals but there is no cover / competition for him in our squad , so a lot of the criticism should be directed at the failure to sign a tall / similar striker on loan at the end of the window.
Very concerned that Campbell (to whom we've given a 3 year contract) can't get ahead of Brewster to come in as sub.
Campbell has a decent record at this level + is only 24 - surely a better prospect if fit and if not fit by this stage wtf is going on ?

I'm not one of those who thinks if a striker doesn't score 20 goals a season he can't contribute but I just don't see it with Moore so far. Very ineffective imo, I thought it may be more to do with everyone getting used to eachother and the system and maybe it is but tonight he was through on the keeper and it didn't even make the highlights reel because he turned it into nothing.

I don't understand how he's "ineffective?"

He made a goal today with his work rate, created a penalty with some superb play against Watford, scored against QPR.... We're only 5 games in.

Admittedly, he's been put through twice when 1-0 up and fluffed his lines but his goal record tells you he can finish those and he has got on the end of them. It'll come.

He’s doing alright, nothing more,I like him, contributes much to the style of play. Looked a little mentally tired last night granted and should have had at least one. On his own up there much of the time but still mobile, needs to make a better decision sometimes. We do like knocking players don’t we if they aren’t a 9/10 every week. He’s fine.

You can’t knock his work rate, but I think he needs to work on his awareness, whilst out of possession, of the players around him. The opportunities he’s wasted, when he could have easily created a chance for a teammate is alarming.

I think a lot of that comes with being a striker they tend to be a bit more greedy and try and get themselves in the goal. But there is no forward player in the squad able of doing what he did for our 2nd last night with his strength and then playing the ball. He was superb as another defender “McBurnie style” too. He has shown some pace on the left in particular with a cut in to the right, this time led to the goal, last time to the saved penalty with the ball into Arblaster

Well it is down to opinions .i dont think he is much good .Seems to flap at good opportunities but early days

He’s infuriating to watch at times.

Twice in 2 games he’s been clean through on goal and ballsed it up, not even having a shot in the end.

But then in the same game he’ll do something brilliant, like barging Liam Millar back to Preston yesterday.

I expected more of a goal threat. I’m sure it’ll come… but jury is definitely still out for me

Here's a question;

The bulk of the goals we've scored this season have been curtousy of the 3 behind Moore. Either scored or assisted, by someone in one of those three positions.

Would that have been the case if they'd been playing behind any of the other candidates?

That's only really hypothetically answerable but what is fact is that the three behind Moore have caused significant damage to teams whilst playing behind Moore.

I'd like to see him be a bit more decisive and clinical in the box and if Brewster, Campbell or Oné take his shirt then it'll be on merit but currently Moore is a part of a front four that's doing well.

He's come to the strikers graveyard, so what do people expect?
No matter how good our midfield is, a 6ft 5" forward automatically results in firing balls up to his head
No matter how fast a striker is our midfield fire balls up towards his head
No matter how small a striker is, our midfield fire balls up to his head.

The midfielders link up well with each other, they even link up well with wing backs and centre halves, but no matter who we've got in midfield they cannot link up with forwards, they refuse to see a forwards strengths and attributes and play to them.

Our wonderful academy hardly ever produces a good centre forward either, Calvert Lewin is the only one so far and he only got half decent after he left. Osula might come good now that he's left.

We'd actually be better playing without any forwards and just have extra midfielders because it's becoming quite obvious that they don't work at United

Can't agree with this , our counter attacking last night was mainly on the deck.

Didn’t get the excitement when he signed. I thought he would be a downgrade on Mcburnie . And he has. Not his fault. I like his work rate and is a team player . He’s not a big goal scorer. Never thought he was .

I must have imagined all those Billy Sharp goals. 🤔

I’m not particularly anti Keiffer Moore, prefer him to McBurnie for his work rate alone, just think he would be far more effective and a better player, if he showed greater awareness.
He could have provided gilt edged chances for others on Friday night, once when he tried to lob the keeper from the halfway line when he had two players available and another occasion when he ignored Brewster? in about half an acre of space on the right wing, turned the other way and ultimately lost the ball.
Incidents like that are ignored or forgotten, when we win 2-0, but they’re absolutely vital when it finishes 0-0.
Incidentally I thought his ‘great strength’ for the 2nd goal was a foul, pushed their player with both hands, not his shoulder, no VAR so 2-0 it is Up the Blades!

He's done OK but can do better
Links play well, aerial threat, good out ball
His decision making has been lacking and it's obvious that someone who. Could run in behind and finish clinically like Campbell can could score a hateful I. This team but could they do the things moore is doing well ?

Truth is we could do with two players vying for that spot with different strengths and we don't have that yet but if kieffer is fit enough to play he's done enough to keep the shirt for me

hes been slightly dissapointing for me but i still rate him and still think he will come good main problem i think is the fact that we didnt bring another striker in hes got no genuine competion for the role and thats not good
