Even if they did, did their cameo really warrant being called out over and above everybody else?
It's not like he didn't name drop or target any other player specifically. Presumably you heard the presser so this is OTT.

If the manager thinks certain players need calling out, he should call them out. If the manager thinks other players won't respond well to it and a different approach is needed, he should do that.

We know Brooks has been criticised in the past for his attitude and poor standard of training, this is presumably part of the reason he gets stuck into him.

Or he's just a weird, nasty man. Or somert...

‘Right Andre, we’re 4-1 down after an hour, we need you to go and sort this out’

‘On my own?!’

‘Yes’
“Oh and just go on and do exactly as you’re told, don’t try to go anywhere else on the pitch, we don’t want any of that ‘flair’ bollocks, we’ll grind these down by passing it 4,000 times on the edge of their box when they’ve got 11 behind the ball. That’s a good lad”

There can be a mid point between him believing that certain players need calling out to motivate them, and him bullying them.

There's little doubt that he's been much more vocally critical of Brooks and Seriki. Does it work in terms of motivation? Did it work last season when he did likewise? I'm not sure it does and it certainly didn't last season. Seriki has blossomed this season and Brooks has been more consistent. The latter was quite open in being very happy with Selles' training methods and inferred he preferred it to Wilders'.

There's no doubt hat Wilder is a very good motivator and he really clicks with some players. But his main approach seems to be arm round and protect them, OR demand more and be openly critical. I'm not sure regularly slagging off two young players for rare off days his season is quite right.

youve made a creditable point there houston the number of times we played in to a blind alley centrally on the edge of mansfield's box trying 5 yard passes it was like watching the sessions they do on the inside shirecliffe vids constantly going in to a packed defence when all it needed was to go out wide and get crosses in

Wilder has his favourites it is that simple and obvious, we know Arblaster is one of them, Peck too looked like they were going to do tongues when hugging after Wilder returned. Hamer another favourite preferred to O'Hare on most occasions, that lad runs his bollocks off yet Hamer gets away with a wonder goal every now and then. Three players there who always seem to get harsh treatment and definately not in the in crowd Brooks, Seriki and O'Hare. We have seen similar Wilder love in's with Lunstram, Brewster and now Cannon even when they have been wank.

Wilder is obviously limited in his motivational ability, as everyone is. It's not worked yet with Brooks as you point out, so it's fair to say that his management is failing in this regard. It's mainly the weird conspiracy shit which I find tedious.

Wilder values training hard and players doing what they're told. If Brooks and Seriki aren't capable of that, Wilder will struggle to get the best out of them, which is a shame. I don't expect him to change his approach to make it fit though, given that he has to be consistent with the rest of the squad who are following his lead.

I'd like to think that Wilder is doing what he thinks is best for two bright academy lads. It would seriously lower my opinion of him if he were bullying either, so will wait for some evidence before entertaining the possibility.

i thought hoever looked decent for his first appearance even got in to some forward positions if seriki plays next game like he played the last half hour yesterday his place will ve under threat from this lad good signing

I also thought Hoever had a good game. I was sat in JSS so was in a good position to watch hi up close.

He was constantly looking up for Chong to move into space to receive the ball in order to progress up the pitch but mostly Chong was to far forward or too static.

Thought Chong would be an excellent signing after seeing him a few times. Maybe he will come good as many before have.

Not sure I should but I felt sorry for him in his ‘cameo’ sub performance tonight.

Got the ball in the far corner with a bit of space, tried to put a cross in and it scuffed straight to the defender at shin height. It then bounced back to him where he then miscontrolled it and he lost possession, leaving their player clear in midfield. The next time he had the ball, he got it stuck between his legs and was dis possessed again and got booked for pulling their player back as he was about to advance on our penalty area.

Pretty much summed up his time on the pitch.

Awful footballer.

He reminded me of Matos's cameo at RB earlier in the season. I still think Wilder will start him on Saturday to punish Femi for his mistake

Thank the Lord hes only on loan.

In fact, with our current signing success rate, probably best that we dont bother with permanent signings in future. 6 month loans only then bin the useless sods.

He is;nt a footballer.
You have to admire him though. In just 5 minutes, he beat Cannon for the Worst Blades Player of the Evening award. You have to feel sorry for Cannon. He spent the whole evening running around aimlessly, huffing, puffing, shrugging, sulking, getting manhandled off the ball, letting the ball bounce off him and put a header wide of the post that David Blunkett could have scored, with his guide dog barking instructions to him. He must have thought that he'd nailed it. Then on comes Henry, with a 5 minute slapstick routine that would have got him top billing on The Good Old Days, to snatch the award right out of Cannon's feeble grasp.

Wilder played full back, but he can't sign a good one.

Gilchrist, Chapman, Hoever, all tripe.

You'd think CW knew what to look for in a FB wouldn't you?

Continuing from his performance last week, one of the worst 5 minute cameos I've ever seen.

He is league 2 standard

I'm shocked that he's playing professionally to be honest, and no way would he be good enough to get a regular game in league 2. If he played for anyone else I'd love watching him because it's one crazy fuck up after another. As it is, he plays for us and I could fucking weep every time he takes to the pitch.
