I worry that he's likely to go, and I can't help but doubt that McCabe will drive that much of a hard bargain. That said, credit where it's due for the clauses in previous deals that we've capitalised from recently.
I personally don't trust a word that comes out of Kevin McCabe's mouth, though. Just listening to the way he chooses to articulate and carry himself makes me uneasy - a perfect example being describing Chris Wilder as "a lucky boy". Deeply patronising and, furthermore, hypocritical, coming from a man who has absolutely no right to claim that he's performed well in his job as chairman of the club. Instead of flexing his muscles in such a cringeworthy way, he might be better advised to use his time to reflect on some of the decisions he's made and sanctioned since taking the role.
