"Tickets will go on sale to Matchroom Fight Pass members at 10am on Thursday 30th March via StubHub.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 31st March via the Sheffield United FC Box Office.

A further announcement on ticket prices and with relevant on sale links will be made soon."

Ticket office is going to be a bit busy isn't it.

Anybody have any idea roughly how many will be left on general sale?
Over 3/4will be left. Only a couple of thousand people have fightpass. Why ? Because its absolutely shit. Don't worry, there will be plenty left even on monday, may get my chesterfield ticket while iam at it. UTB

27k capacity with 8k on the pitch and Kop stand closed Eddie Hearn says in clubs video. Probably kop corner and bit of south stand and john street by kop closed too coz the stand capacity is going to be 19k. Not sure if it will sell out or not but im hoping it does after ive got my tickets ofcourse. Wonder where best view in stand gonna be with cheap tickets.

Think it will sell out pretty quickly. Getting tickets first thing next Friday.

I can't see tickets selling fast. Many Blades fans will be looking to buy season tickets before the fight, and the pig half of the city will be put off by the marketing and venue. How many of us would go to Hillsboro for a similar fight that used an owls crest in its marketing?

It has been a bit too Bladey Blade in my opinion. Fair enough he's a Unitedite but he's a boxer not a footballer and will alienate support from his home city with this approach. Ricky Hatton is a fanatic Man City fan but he pulled a masterstroke by having Rooney carry his belts into the ring for him and had nearly all of Manchester in his corner. We should be able to put football rivalry to one side for an event in a different sport which is going to give some serious exposure to the city!

I'd draw the line at Forestieri carrying his belt

I was thinking exactly the same thing yesterday , but then I asked myself the following question . Would I go to Swillsboro to watch it ?

If this was a bog standard , run of the mill , mandatory defence that was being staged then the answer is a resounding NO . But this is different . This is probably the highest profile , toughest , most highly promoted fight on a world stage that ill ever see . In this respect the answer would be a resounding YES .

This whole event is bigger than simple Blade allegiance and I fully anticipate a highly cosmopolitan crowd in attendance . Don't be surprised by just how much support this will attract from outside the city !

Agree with Hearn, almost every fight these days is carefully matched so the winner is already known.

It's quite rare to have the best 2 fighters in the world at their weight actually agreeing to fight each other. Spence is very highly rated so it will be a really tough test for Brook and well worth seeing.

It's a throw back to when the best fighters used to be matched up with the best.
These days almost all the top fighters are advised to prolong their careers and avoid each other for as long as possible. Should be a great fight.

The precise reason why Khan is avoiding Kell.

Hatton used to come out at every fight to Blue Moon and fought in Man Citeh colours!

Hence the nod to Man Yoo and the Rooney thing. Give me Sheffielders over Mancs any day of the year but most Mancs loved Hatton regardless of football allegiance, they aren't as small minded as we are in that regard. Oasis were mad blues as well but still had George Best on the cover of Definitely Maybe.

There were quite a few pigs at the triple GGG fight and would expect the same at the Lane. This is a huge fight and Spence has fought the same blokes as Thurman & Pacqueuo and actually done better i.e. Stopped them quicker. For anyone who has not done a big boxing fight night get yourself there there is no experience like it, and this will be the biggest fight in Sheffield in our lifetime!!!

We're definitely more tribal, but a quick glance at Porktalk makes me think Kell's support transcends football. I've got a few Wednesday mates too (god knows why) and they're going to attend.

I hope so. We have great sporting heritage in our fair city and the divide should be along footballing lines only.

If we go up the atmosphere will be immense.

On the beers all day and balmy spring evening to boot! It'll get very lively.

You're making the mistake of assuming that each football team has the support of half the city. They don't. I'd say that each has around 20% of the city's support and the rest either only have a passing interest or don't give a fuck. This leaves up to 80% of the city who are non-pigs or couldn't-give-a-fuck-pigs who could have some interest in this fight. Add to this boxing fans nationally and this fight will sell out easily.

As for the pigs being miffed about Kell's allegiance and the Bladeyness of it all, fuck 'em, who gives a flying fuck what they think.

Wasn't the Rooney thing one of Hatton last fights ,after he had amased the biggest following in British boxing history

The difference is Rooney is a big boxing fan, whereas Forestfairy is just a fan of diving! ;)

It shouldn't matter where our world class athletes football allegiances lie. It never stopped me from wanting Clinton Woods and the rest of their errr sporting stars to do well, i'm sure it's the same for the pigs when they see Jess, Kell, Root etc on the tv. We should be proud of all of them regardless.

Also i remember Kell had Kyle Walker and Jimmy Muir carry his belts out a few years ago.:)

Westfield corner at 44 quid sounds okay. Wonder if they'll have a big screen up in addition to the scoreboard.

Executive boxes are a bit overpriced at 200 quid pp imo

Its a bit steep but trying to get numbers together to make it worthwhile.

My issue with boxing is that the undercard is almost always universally terrible, I've paid similar for MMA before but I know there it'll be a full event of solid fights, here, not so much

I think it speaks volumes that they aren’t offering any tickets for sale on The Kop.
No doubt because they feel they couldn’t justify charging boxing fans £44 for the restricted legroom and poor facilities.
I think if they had put the unrestricted view seats up for sale at around say £33 that would have been a popular choice.
