Never heard announcement and I was pitch level south stand side , as everyone said sound system was abysmal & that combined with crowd noise , no one was gonna disrespect the minutes silence if we heard it , I'm glad that Curtis has put that out on twitter , I see Kell announced today about moving up a weight now as spoke about earlier

I was near the back of the Westfield corner stand, could hardly hear a sound from the PA, never mind actually being able to make out words. I joined in with the England chant, there were also a few GCB chants too.

Couldnt make out much on the tv screens either, maybe it's my eye sight but I found them too small.

Atmosphere was excellent though and still worth it for the experience.

Kell v Khan at light middle needs to happen asap, I'd trek wherever

I was near front of BL upper and the boxers in the ring itself were actually bigger than what those TVs were showing

Seemed to be there was a much bigger tv on other side of the ring, facing the empty stand, did someone put it on back to front?

Just watching it back now and have just noticed that the screen facing towards the Kop was much bigger than the others. What the hell? That stand wasn't even open!!

Just starting to watch the Brook fight now, they played Annies Song before the fighters came out then the presenter explained that it was our anthem and it was called Greasy Chip Butty! Fantastic!

We was about 2 and half hours looking for a cab, walked half way around Sheffield - Leadmill, Train station, West Street, Division Street, Casino. Finally decided we're going to start walking home and managed to flag one down at Ponsford at bottom of woodseats, Driver said that not many cabs are going out of town centre after midnight for some reason.

Glad i didn't get a ticket. Didnt fancy sitting at the lane, way too uncomfortable. Sounds like a bit of a mess. The fights at the arena always run very well and no queues really for bars either. Anymore boxing at the lane and they need to sort the pa system and bring some pop up bars. Doesn't sound like many had a good night. Poorly organised.

Bramall Lane Upper

Only played sound out of speakers hanging from rigging around the ring, why not plug them into the grounds PA system? Could not hear a thing.

Screen facing us looked like a 52" TV stuck to the rigging about 50 metres away, but side facing sky cameras (facing the empty kop) was about 8 times bigger! again why not plug it into the video wall? it was 60 odd pound I wish I'd blown in a boozer with it on the screen.

I couldn't make out the music played nor could I see the boxers come out of the tunnel nor walk to the ring due to the people stood up on the pitch

If Id of known how bad it was going to be for us in the stand I'd of gladly paid double to sit on pitch. They shouldn't have even sold tickets for the stand if the screens and sound were going to be that bad.

Still enjoyed it and glad I went (mainly for the novelty of attending my first big boxing event).

The atmosphere was great, like a normal football but no kids in sight anywhere, loads of males early 20's and a few young and old women wearing next to nothing.

I initialy was impressed with how Bramall Lane looked under lights, think it would have impressed many out of towners. However the concourse areas and especially the bar organisation let it down badly and it did make me wonder whether BL would be a suitable venue in future.

In the queue at the bar I got chatting to 5 people, 1 from Sheffield, 1 from Wath, 1 from Bradford, 1 from Leicester and 1 from Liverpool. I didn't ask them but I wonder what they thought about Bramall Lane as a venue.

PS: Agree the sound system and video screens were surprisingly poor.

Don't always agree with everything Curtis says and does but I think he's absolutely spot on here.

Too many spouting off who've never been in a ring, and in truth one or two who have that should consider the strength of their comments.

It may be brutal and facial injuries are part and parcel to a large degree, but it's still professional sport.

Head and leg injuries are a part of football but would you expect a player to continue with a broken eye socket because he still had one good eye. And no one's trying to hit him in it.

Exactly, much like the Golovkin fight Brook kept going for as long as he could. Going further in either fight would have been hazardous and resulted in him going blind.

The same reason footballers are advised not to carry on after sustaining a concussion.

I find myself agreeing with Woodhouse a lot but I don't like the bit at the bottom. I paid for the so called cheap seats that in actual fact i thought was rather pricey in all fairness but I never once thought Kell could or should've carried on, so I'm not sure where he gets that from. Oh, and realism is realising not everybody can afford ringside seats.

Yeah don't quite understand why he added that, sounds a bit like an attempt at mocking supposed armchair fans (who in most cases have also spent their hard earned money to watch the fight), but just comes off as very elitist/classist

"We owe you nothing" sounds like him saying he only cares about those fans who can throw hundreds, sometimes thousands, at ringside seats

If he wants to be calling anyone out on this he should be looking at his fellow fighters who were calling Kell a quitter with a "swollen eye", not us fans in the "cheap" seats

Very good post but the bit I've quoted above is absolutely bang on the money, whether that be at the cheap end or the expensive end of the money ladder. ;)
