CONFIRMED Keith Andrews leaves and joins Brentford

Our fitness levels started to drop as soon as he left.
Hopefully his return will lead to an improvement in an area where we are sadly lacking.

In my recollection competitive United teams always need to; be one of the fittest , if not the fittest in the league and have one of the best keepers. Both of those could be fixed without spending a fortune.

Having lived here for 40 years I'm a reasonably regular attender at St James Park. From when he came in it took Eddie Howe and his staff around 6 weeks to get their team fit. The difference that made to an uncompetitive bunch of no hopers was amazing.

Not sure where this has come from.....ex Ireland assistant manager, more latterly a Sky Pundit with very curly hair.....a defensive midfielder by trade so may have some input there but otherwise I cant see where he adds value...? That said, an instant upgrade on Hudson.....which isn't difficult of course!

That's hardly an argument though. We're losing 3-0 more often while we only losing 2-0 with him. That like having a whose poo smells the least competition. At the end of the day they're both a load of crap.

Introducing somebody fresh to the returning staff is a great idea and he's a perfect candidate for it

If Knill can help sort the defence hopefully Andrews can do similar with the midfield

Nothing in your post has anything to do with what his abilities as a coach might be.

Good players often make dreadful coaches, very limited players often make excellent ones.

i don’t think they will do the whole defensive coach etc. Maybe that’s why we don’t seem as much as a team as we have all these seperate coaches

I'd have to disagree. Egan has been awful this season and at fault for most of the goals conceded at the start of the season with Anel. They've been woeful together.
