Keith Gillespie is an injury doubt to start the season after sustaining ankle ligament damage at Bury on Tuesday night.

The International winger was replaced before half-time and manager Kevin Blackwell admitted that he didn't know at this stage how long Gillespie will be sidelined, although "we do have strength in depth with Greg Halford back in contention this week and Kyle Naughton doing well."

Naughton isn't a winger though... despite the fact he produced some good runs and balls down the right last night, he did tend to cut inside and play more defensively... something which has made Gillespie unpopular.

Naughts has shown signs of being a decent winger though :), so he might be worth a go.

To be honest I would have preferred to see the young lad Naughton given a chance ahead of Gillespie anyway; we have to start making room in the squad for the academy players otherwise it will continue to be a waste of money.

I wish keef well in his recovery but every cloud has a silver lining.

Heard Morgs took one on the ankle too. This correct?

Well someone else has said that Naysmith was injured, hence SJH coming on.

It was his knee I think... He wanted to come back on though, but they kept him off as a precaution.

Heard that on the radio this morning. Naysmith stayed on though, they moved him to centre back... surely they'd have took him off if he was injured?

Don't wish Keef any harm..................but it might be a good thing !
