In the few months he was with us last season, Wilder raved about him so many times in press conferences, referring to the deal Bettis had done for the club, even saying that whilst Phillips went back to City when injured that they paid his wages in full.
I'd imagine those negotiations have taken a while this summer to get something similar, considering our weaker financial status

Rothwell has had aome good spells career wise slightly further up the pitch wouldnt be surprised if he is deployed their some more if Kalvin can actually contribute.

Happy with that tbh.

It's obvious we won't be paying much of his salary as City genuinely don't need the money. He wouldn't be back unless he liked what he saw last season and we are quite stacked in that area already so he won't have to shoulder the burden all on his own.
