We slipped to third that day, the following weekend we went back above Newcastle and held on from then.

I'm disappointed tonight, didn't think we did enough second half to get a win.

Even if there was one game left, there can be no room for flouncing. Crowd clapped us off but were quiet all second half, we need to stay on it until it's over.

We did indeed. That was our 3rd defeat in 5 games and saw us fall out of the automatic promotion places.

Unlike this season, we had occupied an automatic place for most of that season. The wheels really did seem to be coming off. Newcastle replaced us in 2nd place with only 4 games remaining, including a very tricky away game at Blackburn. Automatic promotion looked like it had slipped from our grasp.

If that happened now I think a Sheffield United forum would be a place from which to steer clear!

We'll be 2nd again at this time on Saturday. Looking at the run in I still fancy us over Leeds, but we need to have it sewn up before we go to Stoke on the last day, which could be similar to tonight's game.

To be honest don't feel too bad with a point tonight.

As others have said picked up 4 points from last two games where Leeds got 3 from same opponents.

Keep the faith. Still more twists and turns to come.

It's strange,because even though it was just as tight and important as this season there was nowhere near as much stress attached to every result.The circumstances were very similar,we had just been promoted from the 3rd division and were not expected to challenge for promotion but from memory we had all seemed certain that we would.I even remember not being the slightest bit nervous at the Leicester City game,i just knew we would win,it just seems so different this season,it's as though we don't think we will.......odd isn't it.

If we are in the Play Offs after 46 games it will be a magnificent achievement for our second year back in the Championship, especially given our budget. If Leeds end up in the play offs it will be seen as a huge failure for them. Of course I want automatic but won't be ordering a suicide kit if we finish third. Forget the past, we'd have a real chance.

Leeds are under more pressure than us. They probably have better individual players than us, while we are perhaps better collectively. Both us and Leeds are capable of playing great football and just as capable of throwing away points. It makes for a very exciting end to the season.

Drawing at Brum is a decent result but you can't help thinking what could have been - not only above Leeds but just five behind Norwich, which could have caused them some anxiety. It could well end up being a vital point for us though
