Literally it does. In this context it's 'Blue Ribbon' (riband for the archaic).
My mate who is a Wednesday fan is actually defending putting up that naff PVC banner. Even though he has been moaning for years that the stadium needs painting and upgrading.
The mantra in S6 is still "All hail Chansiri and never question his decisions."
I'm surprised they haven't developed it more since Chansiri has come in
Owl on MDMA
Sounds like North Korea
It is. They are too scared to criticise him incase he decides to take his ball home.
Isn't that what owners of Hull and Cardiff did or threatened to do?
I agree, I never take the piss out of them over the disaster, it could have happened at any ground at the time - even ours.
Could it have nearly happened at any ground 8 years before where the club had no safety certificate for a decade and the Local Authority allowed it to happen? I think not.
Bramall Lane didn't have that same certificate around the same time.
I've long suspected you're just a bit of a tit, rather than a wannabe WUM, and this confirms it for me.
As an aside, I think Blue Ribands are the shittest biscuit ever invented. Like chocolate-covered sawdust.

Thanks, I'm glad I occupy a small part of your mind.
I'd love to reciprocate, but I've never noticed you at all.
The fact is they were culpable. The only reason they are not being prosecuted is that the contemporaneous legal entity no longer exists. This was not a simple misfortune. Trust me, they would be in the dock if it were legally possible.
This, of course, is conveniently ignored by our neutral local media, isn't it Danny04, in stark contrast to the wrongly convicted Ched Evans.
On the disaster , some one said it could have happened at the Lane , no it couldnt What Wednesdays secretary whos up for prosecution did was inexcusable .
They got away with a disaster the year before because they had a strong police commander, who made several suggestions on safety after witnessing the cramped conditions . Wednesday were told to put in streaming barriers from gates to pens , didnt do it, they were told to cut the numbers in there ,didnt do it, should have been 1600 less tickets sold.
The lack of council pressure on wednesday is in direct conflict to how they treat United
If you remember when John St stand opened they kept sections closed due to hawk like safety certificate scrutiny
They never seem to do anything at Hillsborough
The World Cup bid , we had to supply 4 different offers with costed detail down to stewards for seats
Strafford knocked up a video and told blatant lies on funding , they could not afford half of 36 m improvements cleared within a hours meeting , first go

The facts and events surrounding the Hillsborough disaster have been reported countless times in local and national media, including the legal extent of the club's culpability and that of individuals linked to the club at the time. They haven't been ignored by anyone.
As for Ched Evans, the events surrounding his conviction, appeal, retrial and subsequent acquittal made headlines across the UK and the world. To expect our local media not to take a keen interest it is ridiculous, and the fact that did doesn't imply any ingrained media bias against United.

You wouldn't do, I rarely post. Because I don't crave attention like you seem to. That insult you've crafted there, designed to hurt someone's ego, only works on people like yourself.
Go back to scoring points about the loss of lives.
You're comparing a case where there was no prosecution, and one where there was, plus a guilty verdict?![]()
Sheffield Wednesday were found culpable at the most recent enquiry. However only "legal persons" can be prosecuted under the criminal law: essentially humans and limited companies. A limited company is a specific legal entity. The present S6 shower is a different and distinct company to the one at the time of the man-made disaster. However, Sheffield Wednesday were responsible in part for the deaths of 96 people.

The then secretary Mackrell has been charged with contravening Health and Safety Regulations. It was the reckless disregard for the safety of the victims that led to carnage and grievous loss of life, but our local media hasn't noticed that. He was the legal holder of the H&S Certificate, but he's being prosecuted, in effect, for the culpability of the club.
That should be a matter of great concern to journalists in this city. But it's SWFC, and we "Save Our Owls" at all costs don't we? Scandalous and disgraceful. Your editor sits on his hands. Remember his anti-Ched opinion column? Has he apologised yet?
It's a good job Watergate didn't happen at Sheffield...
There was an article in the Liverpool Echo when Strafford was in charge where he assured them it would be demolished and totally rebuilt .considering he is worth 2 m it was as is the owls way big talk from a tin pot clubTo be honest I'm amazed that Leppings Lane stand is still there in more or less the same state it was in April 89 (same tunnel etc albeit with a few blue seats bolted on).
Whilst that stand may no longer be a death trap it should still be demolished given the levity of what happened there as per 25 Cromwell Street or Haute de la Garrene.
Our Editor is female. Would you like her details to address your concerns? On Ched, I assume you mean our old editor. I do remember his column. What would you like him to apologise over?
That lovely likkle Bonsai Kop of yours, so quaint.
Probably the ugliest main stand in the country, looks horrendous from the car park.
Old MaCabe has done his best trying to big you up looking for investment but he really is trying to polish a turd and he can't do much more to your ground.
Fans aren't daft they know which has always been the better ground and Chansiri will see to Hillsborough when the time is right.
Nothing. I asked if he had. It wasn't a request. I gave up hope on the Star a long time ago. I would have thought, however, 'getting it wrong' might be a pretty good start?
There was no Star Opinion, was there, urging SW not to re-sign disgraced match-fixing criminal Peter Swan; quite the contrary, your predecessors were positively gushing. Later in time, no mention of Mattock's conviction and prison sentence for a woman-beating affray.
Fair enough? No, not fair at all. Biased. Always has been:
