Why does enjoying something have to go hand in hand with OTT positivity and tub thumping?

I'm pretty sure nearly every one of us is enjoying what Wilder and the players are doing, but getting ahead of ourselves and being too full of it is a bit too piggish for my liking.

Keep our powder dry is my preference.
