You must either be the most optimistic Blade ever in the entire Universe or the drugs have wiped from your memory the heartbreaks known as Playoffs. Apologies, I should have been clearer. You are right, from 2012 to when we got promoted.

The point stands though. Whilst I fancy us to go up it is still far from certain and although I strongly suspect they are fucked in the short to medium term I still wouldnt put it past that lot to slime their way around FFP somehow, and put out a decent team next season. Owt could yet happen

Alternatively (and somewhat depressingly), if we dont get up this year I can actually see circumstances conspiring to leave both clubs in limbo and being in the same division for a long time.

We have no idea what will happen to us post- court case. If we dont go up, chances are we will lose key players. Yes; whilever we have CW you’d fancy us to be a play off contender, but like I say, who knows what will happen with the ownership issues. That being said, we should have at least established ourselves back up here, and with the usual dross down at the bottom shouldnt be in danger barring an absolute fire sale/financial meltdown.

As for the pigs; they SHOULD get hammered for the FFP stuff. That could impact them for a long time. But again, you’d think they’ll have enough to not be in serious bother and- as we know- they are the spozziest set of bastards in football. Plus if the league DID grow knackers and start clamping down on FFP, they wont be the only ones getting done. They’ll be a few in the same boat.

So there you go- two mid table derby games with nothing but pride to play for for the next 5+ years.

Thats a cheery thought for a rainy Tuesday.

I only said wed make the play offs last season but we just missed out with brookes getting ill and this year said wed only get in play off if we improved 10 per cent

but weve improved 20 per cent and can make autos , if we avoid hideous decisions and get the odd deflection you always need
only believed it possible as weve been in top 6 since game 5

if you dont think its possible now ,,, might as well take up kniitting if its too fraught with danger for you

well another view is Im 65 now could contract cancer or senility and die before seeing us back in the prem and be insanely upset I didnt enjoy us playing this well
